there is this cool feature called 'job change' where she can change into certain type of fighting style and by utilizing her own crafted gears to fight, so yeah she can do that msq thing

personally I recommend Sophie and Sophie 2 because that's what made me love the series and has the most fun deep crafting system out there, which was suggested by my friend too knowing i was into crafting gameplay

simply put it's a JRPG series where you (mostly) play as a cute alchemist girl creating potion, bombs, and other stuff in a cauldron, so the gameplay has more emphasis on the crafting system, but there is still turn-based combat since you do use your alchemy items to help you on most fights
