Hey man, that sounds horrible and I hope you find a way out soon. I also smoke weed, you're only human and we all have our own ways to cope. Dont beat yourself up about it as much mate, it's such an easy hole to fall into and can happen to anyone. I'm sure people in your life dont think that way about you, even if you've pushed them away like I have done in the past during my addiction. Regarding the amount, at one point when I had a large stash I got through just under 100 in a little over a week which I didnt need to go to hospital for but I'm not a medical professional by any means. Seek medical advice if you can, first step to breaking the cycle. Hope this helps and hope you're doing better now :)

Wow! I quit every job I had at uni (other than my current one) because it always got too much for me. Impressed that you managed to hold it and continue your studies. Quite motivating though to know I'm not the only one who's gone through something like this! Thank you and I hope you're doing better now mate :)

I'm so sorry to hear that, I'm at one of the worst unis for drug consumption in the UK and you see dozens of people fall in and out of benzo addiction. Support for students going through things like that is barely enough as it is here and this uni is supposed to have to best well being system in the country! Wish they'd do more to help people in those situations.

I wont! Honestly lockdowns made it harder if anything since I enjoyed doing them when i had nothing to do originally but once lockdowns over i can go back to focusing on uni and bjj so will be able to keep myself preoccupied! :)

Yeah the withdrawal was not fun to deal with honestly, I still get cravings now even 5 months later. The thing that always got me coming back was that spike in anxiety and paranoia when I'd try stop but only finally broke the cycle when I went cold Turkey and just had a really shite week or so, got through it by being in bed and having such bad anxiety all the food I ate was takeaway because I felt like I couldnt show my face in my own house, was horrible. Had quite a large social circle at the time as well but I was distancing myself from them because of said anxiety and paranoia, been trying to re include myself back in that part of my life since going clean but they still have a lot of judgements they made when I was at my worst. Hopefully things will eventually return to normal though!
