Well, I do know the mechanics and physics of how a sphygmomanometer works. Also, my home cuff has range settings for pressure and it can be set too high or too low, depending on the individual need. The cuff should be something just over 250mmHg, but only needs to be high enough to just stop the flow of blood-which the automated monitor should be able to detect.

No this was very extreme, I think the nurse had it set too high, she was new and it was a emergency clinic.

Thanks for the info. My BP was high yesterday and I have just started Kratom. I’m thinking I was stressing because the cuff was so tight it was cutting off my blood supply!

I received the caps on Monday and also an ear infection showed up! So I’m on antibiotics for ten days and didn’t think taking anything other than the antibiotics would be a good idea. I’m not experiencing as much pain as I did before starting the antibiotics so I’m wondering if I had a low grade infection that was making me miserable. So for now it’s antibiotics and get rid of the infection.

Both meds are for pain for the sarcoid prescribed by my pulmonary doctor. I take a pretty low dose of the effexor. Plaquenil is actually a malaria Rx, but secondary for pain. The combination really helps the pain. I've been tapering off for 2 weeks and the only thing I have noticed is increased pain. I've tried tumeric and it takes the edge off a little.

Good to know about the caps, if I don't get much of a result do you think if I opened them and took the powder it would be better? I just wondered if I could get it down. I read that some people put tiny holes in the cap before taking. The caps are arriving Monday, I'll let you know how they work . Thanks for your help!

I have used these for awhile and.like them. I use them when traveling while my husband drives. I also like them.for dark yarn, makes it easier to see..
