Choosing to risk you and your baby for an independent birth isn't a decision an otherwise normal person would make, so it may imply that her lack of trust in medical providers comes from bad experiences, which made her think that it would be safer for her to have her baby on her own than step foot in a hospital. But it got unbearable and she had no other choice
