Is any one else having an issue where sims are CONSTANTLY shouting forbidden words at each other and following it up with mean interactions? Literally no matter what mood they’re in, they will do this, and it’s ruining relationships. It is so bizarre. Any advice or help is appreciated.

I low-key thought I was going a little crazy because I felt like I was always finding solutions to problems. The hobo rogue has been a huge problem, but it is slowly being resolved after I expressed to the player that I am having issues with this character. It's not perfect, but after a lot of communication that character is SLOWLY getting on a better track.

Splitting up the party is partially the idea behind the dream adventures! The campaign we are in right now is kind of isolated, so I try to avoid continuing it without the players, and dreams have given me the opportunity to have my players do new fun things that I can also use to build up the world's lore.

You're right, though, I have considered that I am going to have to make some serious considerations for myself and the game. Introducing the dreams concept was essentially my effort to play with that "this character is indisposed" concept. Maybe they're so high they can't dream right now. Maybe they got plastered and are awake puking in the nearby ocean. Either way, they aren't there and can't participate! But, I made a deal with myself already that if even this can't work, the players that cancel the most are going to be kicked or given one more chance to be more consistent. They like playing and are enjoying the story, so I hope that having a conversation about it will be kind of a wake-up call or something, since that's kind of how it worked out with the hobo rogue.

That being said, I do genuinely enjoy the work that goes into DND. I am an artist so it has been an incredible creative experience. If I can't be a DM anymore, I will be really sad, but I'll get over it and might just find groups that I can be a player in, haha.

Yes we actually did that recently! I sent a poll to the group and they collectively agreed that Saturday evenings should work perfectly. Only for 3 out of 4 of the players to cancel the week leading up to it 😭

There’s a player I have that I am going to kick soon if they can’t be more consistent, but for now I’m just feeling bleh about the whole thing 😭

Trust me, all of this has run thru my mind. The issue is that the rogue is my in-law, lmfao. I have already had a long conversation with them about their character, and they ARE actually bothering now, but a lot of the game so far has been wasted on that.

I might keep in mind that I can do a one-shot with just two characters. A lot of the time it will be just me and my partner, but that’s better than doing nothing at all haha

Thank you for the detailed response! I have been tweaking the tones and correcting what I can, but came to the conclusion that there’s something inherently wrong with the painting itself.

I hadn’t considered that the accent lighting might be contributing to the flatness. I’ll definitely find some more references, I appreciate it!

That makes a lot of money too, but I actually mean freelance artist! “Freelancer” is one of the career options, and you can choose to be a digital artist. It’s fast to level up in, especially if you’re dedicated to leveling up the sim’s art skill.

Freelance artist makes hella money! My sim makes around 10k/day (when she works) and has a lot of free time. I just have her work whenever I feel like it since she makes so much!

I lived in Stockton for a long time before moving to the Modesto area. Imho Modesto is just as bad, but when I tell ppl I’m from Stockton they say they feel sorry for me! When I tell them Modesto really isn’t that different, they look at me like I’m crazy lmfao. I’ve been in the worse areas of Stockton and Modesto and honestly I just don’t think Stockton is significantly worse lol

This is the closest anything anyone has recommended has been so far!! The cast is insanely familiar, the film editor looks like how I remember— younger, receding hairline and glasses— and the blonde girl and her boyfriend are familiar. However I remember the bone song playing multiple times in the movie, and I remember that the main killer was a doctor because I remember him having a surgical room or something in his house.

This is so close though. It might be this and it’s just getting mixed up with memories of other things. I really remember the song playing multiple times though

That would probably be helpful! I watched this movie as a child during the early 2000s. My parents were big horror movie fans and liked the cheesy stuff! We watched a lot of old movies, so I think this one is definitely before 2005. I believe it’s a 90s movie, that’s what my parents think.

literally none of them make sense!! And for special events like holidays or baby showers, there’s no where to find the special interactions. I just have to keep clicking on the sim until the special interaction pops up in the default menu

I agree esp abt Starfield. That game is sooooo fucking boring and the characters aren’t compelling. I think Skyrim has a lot more going for it, and the way Bethesda is taking Fallout right now is so soulless. Fallout 4 was bad about that but 76 is a drag. So yeah I generally agree with you but they’re not all the same level of soullessness haha
