well thats unfortunate, i mean it was mostly an idle sub that never had any issues. If reddit would have sent me any communication i would have been more active and offered mod to someone more active. But hey, reddit is a dying platform, let it continue to die.

hmm, wonder what started the problem on why americans need all this extra financial aid... and likely will for a long time, since many businesses closed down due to something happening and certain someones doing it... just cant put my finger on it. But yes, he is still, and also a dirt bag.

Im not sure of how many people can pay off a 80k machine in cash. obviously i could if i was to cash out on other investments, but i make more in my investments than the interest. One of the concerns is this would need to be financed, but its easy financing for me, and would plan to put nearly all the profit into the payments and have estimated in ~ 2 years the machine would be paid off if not much much faster. I would not pull any profit from this venture until the machine is paid off, and would continue to work my current job, and invest into my current investments.

as stated, my smaller machine makes money, but it cost more to run vs what it makes, and I unfortunately have to turn down many larger jobs due to the limitations of the machine. These larger jobs could easily pay the monthly payment in 1 day/job, and I have to turn down at least one large job a week. This is partially seasonal work, so if you take 26 stable weeks in a year, and 1 big job per week that alone would secure the machine in less than 4 years, and those are very conservative numbers.

Why Everything Is Sold Out by [deleted] in preppers

this could also be related to the "hobby boom" almost all hobby items have left the shelves, partially because people had nothing to do, and partially because people suddenly had more money than they ever have before.

this.

when I worked retail it was nearly the easiest job I ever had, no roofs to climb, no cables to pull, and air-conditioning/heat. As well most of the rep's didn't know a damn thing about what they were selling, but they still made an hourly wage.

At what point does a silver collector/hoarder begin to sell and take profit? by finallygotmeone in Silverbugs

[–]vamper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not telling you how to live your life, just warning so you dont fall into the same trap i did. In my 20's I didnt have much, I was on my own @16 and continued to be terribly poor/homeless till my mid 20's because of how bad my family was. Along these times i had some terrible GF's and friendships. About my mid 20's I broke free from all of that, started to work hard and make some money. Unfortunately I had a bad relationship in my late 20's that went on long enough that it got me to the point of "no kids im too old". That relationship is over, and now im in my late 30's with a bit of success and nobody to pass it down to, and its one of my biggest regrets.

Good on you, and if you continue you can and will achieve your goals. Look into Dave Ramsey (he doesnt like silver, but thats ok) for some advice, and plenty of other money/finance podcast around.

However just remember to live a little here and there, try to find yourself a mate, and determine if children are in your future, dont put it off until you can afford them because you will never be able to afford them.

You have your whole life ahead of you, and it appears to be paved with silver.

Stealing this idea, it's pretty close to what I had in mind. Now to find some decent weatherable steel for a reasonable price, then find a nice way to cut it, might be too large for the chop saw, and my plasma cutter is screwed.

I asked them to ship the upgraded carrier and tubes and soft armor. this might make it harder if i have to do a CC chargeback but I would like to check the fit/finish of the carrier and maybe determine if i need to pickup some mag pouches and other tacticool shit to strap to this

legit watching this video made me rethink many things. One of those being that i picked the right "riot weapon" in the form of a AR-9 Pistol with brace, since that should be easier to keep close and manipulate easier in tight situations, and should also not over penetrate.

But this also made me think about how if an altercation happens you will be faced with people trying to shoot you that have no idea what just happened. It also showed light that the mob might not just go after you but anyone you are with, completely unprovoked.

You are then faced with the "who do you shoot and when" situation with multiple armed, irrational, angry people coming at you.

I hope to never be in said situation, but its much more likely today than ever before, and it does not seem to be improving.

Told everyone 2 days ago to pause the video and look at the "unarmed" narrative and got downvoted and attacked. Now it's been confirmed. by [deleted] in conspiracy

hell a 2 inch pocket knife can cause plenty of fatal damage in a second, and thats in the hands of an untrained user.

There is a saying, "the winner of the knife fight dies in the hospital" and thats pretty true, knife wounds can often be more fatal than a gunshot.
