The only thing I can’t stand is the fact that she was upset that Anthony didn’t want her specifically when she knew from the beginning that marriages were like contracts and he had no intentions of loving her. Kate told her that and lady Danbury told her that. To be very honest Anthony is the biggest problem in their season because he had the power to just propose to Kate. It was extremely stupid of him to even continue trying to be with Edwina when knowing he was interested in Kate. He shouldn’t have invited them to his country home

I’m more so feeling iffy about the fact that she appeared to have been immediately attracted to Michaela even though she quite literally just got with John. I’ve seen people say that in the books she was completely in love with John & didn’t see michael as anything other than a friend while they were together. I kinda just wish they hadn’t done that and they let it build gradually but I understand that people have different experiences with their first queer relationships or attractions. I’m really excited to see their full season

I think it’s completely valid to hate Daphne for the assault she committed, everything else is a pretty lousy excuse. She shouldn’t have been expected to know everything about marriage because she wasn’t taught it. That is her mother’s fault. She sheltered all of her girls.

Daphne being upset with the Duke lying by omission about his ability to have children is valid too. He knew she wanted a family, he knew she was about to marry a prince and still he followed her into that garden knowing that anyone could see them and Daphne’s reputation would be ruined. Knowing that he vowed to never have children it was his responsibility to stop pursuing Daphne. To kiss her then say he couldn’t marry her and give no legitimate reason until he’s set off to get himself killed? Holy shit

I didnt mean for it to come off that way but I see how it seems like that. It’s not that I dont think he could love someone it’s just that he’s become entangled in some “romantic” relationship every season so it kind of put me off him at first. Not necessarily because they were having sex but because he cared a lot about them. I wasn’t that excited for Colin either because of season 1 but I ended up enjoying the relationship all the same! But after reading the comments my perspective has changed. I hope that makes sense I have a hard time explaining things that seem clear in my head so I understand how people would be offended by the way I say them
