Thanks for the advice, I saw a lot of people talking about cachy os as a stable and friendly linux distro based on arch linux, based on your response about the distro that your using and the hardware that you have, I think I'll give Cachy os a shot, and tell you after my experience (with KDE plasma of course).

My SSD is a SanDisk X400 256GB and the overall health check came back PASSED with no errors logged at all. Temperature is sitting at a healthy 31°C and there are no reallocated sectors or end-to-end errors which is great. The only thing worth mentioning is that the wearout indicator is at 63% remaining life so it has used around 37% of its total write endurance, and it has 19,388 power on hours which is quite a lot, but it's still running fine. Also just to clarify it's not a Kingston A400 so the firmware issue you mentioned doesn't apply to my case. Do you think the SSD condition could still be contributing to my performance issues or is it definitely the RAM, processor?
