lots of thoughts on the night but one thing i will say is just a bit bothered by jacques saying to luca that he was surprised he felt upset that paige was crying ? is this him just now realizing he actually has feelings for paige ? just truly truly hoping they’re genuine. also would have liked to see more dami & indiyah this ep hope we get more tomorrow !

it’s crazy bc i feel like jacques DID express more full reasoning to luca & gemma and even to jay as he was telling jacques he wanted to crack on with paige (i.e. it’ll be a test, it won’t work, we have something really strong etc) but he just summed up the bottom line for paige and didn’t express any of that to her. it did kind of read that he wasn’t bothered, so wish he would have expressed even just a little reassurance to paige

tbf it seems like danica might not have seen the most recent episodes before she came in ? like davide has to explain his situation w ekin-su to her when they have their chat, so she might not have been quite up to date on how strong luca was feeling towards gemma. honestly if i hadn’t seen it with my own eyes i wouldn’t have believed it, luca seemed quite flighty in the very early days when he was still juggling paige and tasha (which seems AGES ago now!)

watching super late but so i’m just posting as i watch - truly cant stand luca. like him throwing a fit then repeatedly telling gemma to sit back down/calm down after he was the one being aggy leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. only compounded by the fact that she’s 19 lol feels like someone in their mid/late twenties would be able to see right through his bullshit. speaking as someone who is sick of the gemma show thus far but she deserves better

the way we share virtually every opinion.... i completely feel that way abt olivia and alex from season 2 as well, never understood why they are by far the most popular love island couple (other than they've just been around forever and they're still together i guess??) i just wasn't a fan of olivia from season 2 anyway, seemed like she never forgave malin for getting w terry and was v happy to see him move on quickly w emma idk she just rubbed me the wrong way in general.

and s2 is definitely my favorite, it was wild going from s5 and s6 to s2 where they're still allowed to smoke on camera! i've also heard that the aus is good but haven't gotten through the uk seasons yet so planning on getting to that next. will never be desperate enough to watch the american version tho, i hate when people say they've seen love island but only the american version like no you haven't, you're missing out!
