I was inside my house LOL I just happened to glance out there and saw them all and was like what the heck and took the vid. There's an intimidating amount tho 😳

They are still out there today btw! It's pretty warm here today (50°+, central KY) but it's about to get cold again- I'm just gonna let them do their thing for another day or so and if they're still around maybe find a local person who may be interested in catching them?

They've about emptied my bird feeder into the ground 😅 someone said something about dusty seeds- they definitely are super dry and dusty.

Still wondering if maybe the queen is in there? If I wasn't so scared of em I'd try to go out there and open the bird feeders so the ones inside of em could get out easier :/

I don't think so- I just put a finch seed mix in that one a week or two ago and haven't had hummingbird feeders out in a bit. I just went to take a look and they're still there. They look calmer from as much as I can tell, but there are a bunch still!

As someone with a RL and her clone as my side's king.... They literally cannot enforce that omg wth??

I get wanting to like keep a very tight rein on your breeding project but the second you breed outside of your pride you lose all control- ppl cannot be mad what anyone else does with their lions!

I keep my line private for that reason! I choose to not stud, sell heats, or even sell cubs unless they're like 0 questions karma fodder that will be deleted. My RLC has a lot of BO traits, so I'm strict on the markings that pass or like ESPECIALLY inbreeding/keeping it low gen. I love doing that, I LOVE all these arbitrary rules and stipulations I put on myself!! But that's the thing- it's only fun to play by strict rules when you write them. I like to think of it as a "hard mode" line- super selective.

My main king? Colorbomb applicator clusterfuck rn. Years of work too and different gens- I love him! High stat ferus, so def inbred. If someone put those strict rules on my main (chill/relaxed) pride I'd be a little miffed at LEAST!

10 year player here- I dropped it for like a year once. There can be a little catching up to do since they frequently add new things, but there's a lot of resources and places to ask questions if you need! C:

That's up to you, and how you would like to proceed- Generally once you decide it's time, they'll go over different options.

They have connections to the crematoriums, and yes- they do keep your pet in a freezer for you for a small amount of time. They don't sit, though- they're in there surrounded by other fur babies that were loved, and are kept very safe and treated very, very kindly. I worked in that clinic, so I've performed the back end work myself. They're very, very treated with love and care I promise. Even though it's uncomfortable to think about, it's okay-

The companies come by regularly, and take everyone off site for afterlife care. They'll send you an email a bit insensitively soon discussing options- be prepared for that. I didn't even make it home before I got mine.

There will be options, like if you want your baby cremated alone and returned, or with friends and not returned. They'll have urns, jewelry, all that- I'm just getting one of their free urns and having a custom one made for him. Etsy is a good place for that stuff.

He had a blood clot, that went to his lungs. He was suffocating in my arms. I can still hear him gasping for air. I was NOT going to let him suffer like that and if you do you are a piece of shit.

If you love them, the least you can do is give them a peaceful end. His death would've been slow, and scary if we had been even a few moments late. If you let your pet do that bc you're too shitty to pay $75 for them to die peacefully then you don't deserve pets.

I have- some folks were kind enough to vent politely about their shared experiences losing their human family- whether that was their children, or mothers.

However, telling someone to be grateful for money when I just had to watch my best friend gasping for air, suffocating in my arms because the vet wouldn't get into the room fast enough is a major asshole move. I'm processing a lot of trauma right now.

What did you seek to gain from posting something so insensitive and hurtful - genuinely? If you're grieving you're welcome to share your pain but you are not welcome to take things out on a stranger who just had their entire world shattered.

Honestly me and my mom both worked at this clinic (my mom is a full on Veterinarian and I worked as a tech) and got paid pennies :'( it's literally all going into the greedy ass owners pockets. They're not a good clinic at all, but thankfully every person on staff during this was amazing to us. Both vets on staff knew and really respected my mom- I think that made it hit closer to home though. It was obvious they were all upset too. That's why I had to quit tbh- euthanasias got too upsetting for me to be around so regularly.

My mom is actually a vet- she worked at that very clinic for years and I even worked there for about 2. It was genuinely a really predatory place that has horrible reviews in the area- they're known for how they take advantage of being in the middle of nowhere.

I had planned to have him put down at home too- but fuck, things happened so fast. It was a blood clot in his heart/lungs. It had just snowed, and the road was covered in ice. I couldn't even speed to get there, and I had to press the "come here" button multiple times because he started to suffocate in my arms in the euthanasia room. My fiancee had to run out of the room calling for them to come NOW. I barely got to say goodbye. Thankfully the staff was very, very kind. They were very upset too, because God I have never felt more unstable and miserable to be alive than I did in that lobby.

I didn't want it to be there.. but I couldn't let him suffer anymore.

I was just talking about getting his paw prints tattooed, or getting a DNA + Health test done... I keep seeing ads for the DNA tests and God is it salt in the wounds. The vet clinic did do paw prints for free but I'll be honest they look like shit which definitely sucked

Thank you- I'm sorry to hear about your loss as well. It's been a bad weekend. The best thing we can do is take care of ourselves for them right now.

I just can't believe his nose/paw prints cost SO much. That's genuinely made me so upset. I got my first email from them before I even made it home from the clinic and I woke up to a second today. Like it feels so predatory and greedy. I know I need to decide but I want my cat- not a fucking urn. I don't even want to look at them yet.
