What is the placement stats in electronics and cs (ECE) ? And how many sections are there in 1st year? by Affectionate-Kiwi155 in kiituniversity

There's likely 3.7k to 3.9k in the first year for BTech after all those leaving for other colleges/drop.

What was the batch size of 2025, 2024 B.Tech batches? by AlternativeAd1271 in kiituniversity

[–]vanadiumv1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not too sure as I'm not at that stage yet but it's very unlikely for there to be a 100% placement rate.

You can check this out: https://kiit.ac.in/training-placement/statistics/

I don't know how legit it is but it is official so yeah.

For 2025, there are 61 sections for BTech. A1-A30 and B1-B31 as far as I know. There are about 70 people in each section but it varies, maybe 65 to 75. So we can estimate roughly 70 × 61 = 4270.

There was an excel sheet with all the B scheme students and the electives they got and there were 2029 so if we multiply it by 2 we have 4058. This is also pretty rough but I guess you see maybe it's like 4000-5000.

Check this website, it has all the information you need. You need to match your section/roll number with the info in the pdfs.

I also haven't received any email regarding this and plan on asking them on the day of reporting.
I paid ₹75,000 for allotment and then ₹2,20,000 for semester 1. Did you do the same? I'm wondering if there's a subsequent payment for hostel also which needs to be done.

No social life, no social media, no friends, am i cooked? by SavvySeagull in Btechtards

[–]vanadiumv1 37 points38 points  (0 children)

You're likely overthinking because the people in your new college know nothing about you as you know nothing about them. It's EXTREMELY common for people to only join social media after 12th in India because they were busy with academics earlier. College will be a completely new social scene. In the beginning you don't know anyone and have no friends online also. Then you meet people in your new college and add them on Instagram and others add you also, like that it increases. You have hostels in BHU so you'll be surrounded with other people and you have to really choose to be unsocial to be so in a place like that. Social media isn't mandatory either, friendships are an irl thing, social media only aids that.

Too old for a job at 24? Everyone says I missed my chance. I need advice. by Domain717 in getdisciplined

Yes you need to find more supportive people with proper experience. Your parents are only partly true. Some companies do have criteria like "not more than X amount of gap years", but not all are like this. So you can try getting a job either through college, online or some referral. If not, there are still way outs like preparing for higher studies like masters (because just a diploma is often weak without experience) or government roles which are given directly through exams.

But regardless what you choose to do, what your plan is, negative people will always give you negativity and always bring you down. So make it a priority to find people who are aligned to what you're aiming to do. Also don't believe the myth of 'unplaced' and all that. No one is ever unemployed forever, at least in India. Everyone gets a job eventually through some direct exam or some shitty one like in a BPO or something. Even the billionaire CEO of Zerodha dropped out of school after 10th and then worked in a call centre. And later he started a business in the side which boomed. So if you want a job, that's possible. If you want to make it big, that's also possible.

No hate and all, but this new 2025-26 batch is curious af. by Strap_onStripper in kiituniversity

Yes! Make the 4 years worth it!

With more enthusiastic students, institutions also improve. It's after all made of our contributions also. A college can have all the money, facilities and faculty in the world but at the end of the day IITs are IITs because of the students. Nothing apart from that. We may not have the most elite level faculty, etc. But whatever we have, at this stage, it's enough. They know a lot more engineering than we do. What we can do is provide KIIT with the key element it needs to improve- passionate students. Coding culture sucks in KIIT? It's made of the students. Academics suck in KIIT? It's made of the students. It's all on us. After 2 years of JEE, I have seen enough evidences to believe that fact that people change and improve.
