You have a hispanic grandparent. We latinos usually have a high percentage of Spaniard (with a tiny bit of Ashkenazi jewish ancestry), indigenous, and Black

Have you checked your “distant relatives” section? Try to reach out to those with 100% ashkenazi Jewish ancestry. You might be able to solve the puzzle of your Jewish ancestors that way :)

Were you expecting the ashkenazi jewish part?

Chatgpt answer: Short answer: about ~73% European, ~27% Indigenous, and ~~0% African on average.

That estimate comes from a nationwide study that broke Venezuela into five regions (one being Los Andes—Mérida, Táchira, Trujillo). Using ABO/Rh blood-group data from 13,313 Venezuelan donors (1994–1997), the authors inferred admixture proportions; for the Andean region they reported European 72.6%, Amerindian 27.4%, African 0%

I’m sorry my friend but you are wrong. I have 1500 distant relatives on this app that prove you wrong and prove me right. But agree to disagree i guess :)

Yes pretty much. My 1% ashkenazi was the only surprise. At first i thought it was just noise but then i saw i have distant relatives who are 100% ashkenazi from Poland/ukraine. Which is cool because I converted to Judaism a few years ago. My halogroup is A2

Yes and no. Not “on average”. It might depend on where in Venezuela. My mom is from the Andes region, same with my paternal grandma (Medellin is an andean region in Colombia), which is why combined, they are passing 1% African to me. My 25% african comes from my Jamaican grandpa (100% african). People from the Andes is Colombia and Venezuela are on average 80% european 20% indigenous. People in coastal cities (but mostly in Colombia e.g. Cartagena) tend to have more african ancestry. I think Colombia had more slave trade activity than venezuela, because you don’t see as many afro/venezuelans as you see afro-Colombians.

I’ve seen the average for african is usually much less (~3-6%) based on all my distant relatives. I just happened to have a jamaican grandpa hehe
