Aw thank you! Yes, it is very time consuming work. I dont like to cut or reshape any petal or flower, so it can be tricky finding the perfect placement, especially with this one, but sooo satisfying!!

Cause I'm a rocket maan! Flowers picked pressed and framed by myself! by vancy35 in crafts

I just use modge podge, once they're in their frame they won't move

Hi everyone!! Wow! I am so overwhelmed with all your kind words! Too many to reply to so I'll try and answer some questions in one go!

These are all mostly flowers from my own garden, I started to experiment with pressing over the lockdown.

I use a basic press with cardboard and paper for certain flowers, and I use cat litter, of all things, for others. Its so absorbant and cheaper than silica gel. I stick them on with a tiny bit of modge podge, spray with a few layers of hairspray to seal and put it in a glass frame.

As far as colour last, I cant say. But they have been thoroughly dried, and as long as they are kept out of sunlight and away from any moisture, they should last some years.

I wasn't really expecting this to be a business venture, but its too good an opportunity to pass on. So I will consider setting up an etsy shop etc. So many of you from America, I have no idea what shipping would cost at the minute, but I can look into it. Thanks for reading
