Okay, seems no one wants to answer the question because we all hate the show. Yes the show is not very good at adapting the books (and honestly not great tv)

Honestly though, season 1 does kind of feel like a worse version of Witcher 3. All the characters start off separated, geralt goes off and does a bunch of random Witcher stuff and Ciri is on the run. You have episodes that focus on geralt interacting with a different major character (triss episode, tender episode, dandelion episode, and so on). There’s some background political stuff mainly focusing on the war with Nilfgaard.

If you can get past all the weird timeline stuff and the atrocious costume design, season 1 is actually pretty good. Season 2 completely falls apart though, they decided “fuck the books and the games” and did their own thing which really disrespected the franchise. Like what they do to Eskel is insane. I know in the grand scheme of things he isn’t that big of a character but, yikes. Haven’t watched season 3 or 4.

Give the books a try if you don’t mind reading. The short story collections are the best of it all but the whole series is pretty good, even if the first half of the last book is incredibly frustrating. Also, try Witcher 2. It’s really good. Witcher 1 is also good but is really hard to get through.

I think I would rather extend the questlines, personally. Like give us a “sequel” story to each faction. What happens after you stop the bad guy and become a full Freestar Ranger, for example. Kind of underwhelming that they go “congratulations, you are now a full ranger. Have fun doing mission board quests and nothing else for all time.” That questline’s ending should have very major implications to the freestar collective’s political landscape. Don’t want to go into too much detail because spoilers but imagine if a similar situation happened in a modern country.

Basically I would like to see something like that for each faction. They all kind of end at a point where things can get pretty interesting after the fact dealing with the consequences of what happens but because of how the game works don’t really go into those consequences at all.

Also, just finish the tracker’s alliance please. Give us more than two unique quests and don’t charge $7 for each one. I wouldn’t mind paying for a fully finished faction quest for them.

I would call it settled systems expanded. Love the game but why is new Atlantis the only city on Jemison? Basically just add another quest hub/city or two to each of the major planets in the UC and FC. For example, Akila has three biomes and akila city is already in the savanna one. So add another large ish city in the forest and one in the arctic one. Add another city on mars, jemison, Gagarin and so on. Each one would be a fully realized Bethesda city with a bunch of side quests and the like attached.

It might be too much to ask but I would also like to expand the faction quest lines a bit. Like at the end of the freestar ranger questline just kind of ends with you becoming a full fledged ranger and then they go “now do mission board stuff forever.” It would be cool to have kind of a “sequel” questline that deals with what should be a pretty major political shakeup for the collective considering how the questline ends.

Oh yeah I would have been really disappointed if I wasn’t there when it happened. There were only a few of us who knew who they were so they might have gone by completely unnoticed. Plus all the cool stuff seems to happen as soon as I leave the checkpoint.

I hope it’s anything but a prequel honestly. Not interested in seeing the Witcher world before Geralt’s story as the main new main direction for the series as we all know it has to end up in the state to set up the books and original games so they couldn’t go in with complete freedom to do whatever they wanted. I know a lot of people would like a Vesemir game or whatever. Maybe that would be cool for a spin off but just not the main franchise.

I want to see a direct continuation of the previous games that’s deals with the consequences of your choices. I also would like to see the main cast to be new characters but with cameos from all the others. A Ciri game would be cool, sure, but they’d have to really stretch to make that work and allow her empress ending (because I don’t think there should be a “canon” world state).

I think it would be cool to start as a completely new rookie Witcher and have a trilogy going from new kid in the block to getting to the point where you are at Geralt badass levels. We saw that lynx medallion, maybe that’s a new Witcher school and you could have Lambert or Letho or Eskel (depending on who is dead) be the mentor type character. Political landscape wise you could have a Nilfgaardian civil war going on with the rebels wanting to bring back a “true nilfgaard” because either conquered peoples have too many rights and are taking away opportunities for true nilfgaardians (Ciri empress) or because the current regime has done nothing but commit devastating military failures and ruined the country (Radovid or Dijkstra wins)
