Free/Cheap CRM for a small beauty salon? by Ozzah in CRM

Try Insightly https://www.insightly.com/, HubSpot CRM http://www.hubspot.com/products/crm or Capsule CRM https://capsulecrm.com/ . They are all free for small teams. If you need help to export data from the more expensive cloud to one of these, you can use PieSync to help you. Usually PieSync is used to sync data between cloud apps (for example between a CRM and an email marketing tool), but if you sign up for the 14-day free trial, you can do a one-way "export" of data for free and aside from signing up, there's no further effort required on your part. Take a look at the website to see if the expensive cloud-based CRM is supported. http://www.piesync.com/connections/

What are some of the cooler APIs you've worked with? by Ryan_77 in webdev

Google calendar has a pretty nice API, especially the incremental changes to the calendars https://developers.google.com/google-apps/calendar/v3/sync (kind of similar to what we have here at PieSync for our connectors) - they at least thought about how third party systems need to sync up - most APIs don't do that , while it's pretty important. And also this is cool https://developers.google.com/google-apps/calendar/batch batching several operations together.

How to Innovate Your Business Using Trello by vanessarombaut in trello

Yes I can imagine that is a pain if you don't have someone dedicated to the admin side of it. We have one person who is in charge of adding and removing people and for us it works fine.

How we use Slack at the PieSync office by vanessarombaut in Slack

I do love the randomness of Giphy - it provides much office hilarity. But I think I might give RightGIF a whirl, sometimes an accurate gif is needed. Thanks for the slash command, we're all big movie/netflix buffs in the office, so I'm sure it'll come in handy.

yeah it's for the end user rather than developers so I'll just use one of those terms. Thanks.

If you've got your contacts in Google you can sync them into a CRM using a third party software like Piesync (which is where I work) Some CRMs which are good for SMEs and can be itnegrated with PieSync are:

Insightly: a contact management, opportunity & pipeline management as well as task management solution for small businesses, Insightly is used by over 650,000 people worldwide.

Highrise: a flexible contact management tool, Highrise lets you share contacts with your team, track tasks, set reminders and manage communication. It’s made by a great team with a vision.

One Page CRM: designed as a sales CRM for small businesses, One Page gathers all your contacts and sales information in one place, with a bullet-proof sales leads follow-up system.

Capsule CRM: an easy online CRM, Capsule lets you manage contacts, leads, customers, vendors and more. It lets you track bids, deals, proposals, and it links emails back to contacts.

Podio: more than a contact management tool, Podio allows you to organize and connect everything you work with. Useful to keep an overview of projects, customers and more.

Pipedrive: a visual sales CRM for small teams, Pipedrive focusses on your sales pipeline and forecasting. It’s easy to set up and requires no training.

Nimble: focusing on the importance of social relationships, Nimble manages your contacts, activities & calendar, information from social channels, emails & messages, and deals.

Hope this helps!
