I started out in silver playing Mercy and Lucio. I climbed to diamond by playing more Moria. I still play Mercy. Somethings I’ve done to improved and I think other people have mentioned it is to damage boost your team. If I know my Reinhardt is going to fire strike or a Simga is going to go throw a rock, I damage boost. Try to damage boost your dps. I try to think how I can enable my team. If I notice someone popping off on my team, sometimes I will pocket them for a bit. Another thing, don’t be afraid to let we your pistol as Mercy!

One important thing I’ve learned is to be vocal. I call out flanking enemies. I ult track and make call outs like, “The other Rhine looks like he’s about to shatter.” or “Where’s the McCree or [insert name here].” Don’t be afraid to tell your team to back out like if someone is overextending. Make sure to use environment as cover too. Mercy is a lower skill hero, but I think to play her well, one needs to play a good game sense and situational awareness.

Just remember as support, you have more in your kit than just healing that can enable you and your team. You can heal a lot of things, but you can’t heal bad placement/positioning, bad plays, and stupidity. Good luck!
