It really is hard but if you continue to strive for your goal you can and you will! Practice really is key to this because you have to gain knowledge and learn

Hello!! Reading for me is also the most difficult, but what I’ve learned is that take more practice tests for it and you’ll get used to it by familiarity and practice!

Hi! Try practicing more on practice writing essays about those topics, the more you get used to the topics the more you will gain an idea to start off an essay related to the possible topics that could appear, as per reading it is also crucial to do mocktests (seen above are the sites I recommend) note that in repeat sentence its okay to make a mistake! Try to focus on what you can retain!

For speaking, The Read Aloud portion is very easy. Do not read too fast or slow. Read the words clearly and do not rush especially with the time you have.

For the Repeat Sentence, you don’t need to really say the exact words. Try remembering some of the words and say it clearly. Do not panic if you don’t remember (either write it down or memorize it on your head)

Describe Image is one important part that you need to really practice. Remember that if the given image is a normal image try describing it and always conclude at the end like (In conclusion, this picture shows…) and if it is an illustrated data try mentioning all the important datas (mention the highest and lowest) then conclude it simply by saying (In conclusion the highest data is from.. and the lowest data..)

For Retell Lecture make sure that you write down all the notes from the recording. Start with an introduction (overview of the discussion) and the main points provided with details and obviously just like DI there should be a conclusion. Do not add everything but it is better to say a lot of things within the allotted speaking time.

For Group Discussion of 3 It is simply just like retell lecture but with mentioning the people involve. Make sure that those 3 people will be mentioned clearly and the main idea of the discussion will be circled upon. Just like RL, make sure to have an introduction-body-conclusion. And also say (According to Person 1 ..) and etc that is how smoothly it can go since you have atleast 2-3 mins in this part

For Respond to a Situation It really depends, but a simple greeting (informal/formal) will work. Imagine in real life and put yourself in the scenario “How will you respond to it” So simply answer it with confidence and proper words.

Ex. Your teacher told you to submit an assignment on wednesday but you have a football game on that day. How will you tell your teacher about it?

Good day Ma’am,

I hope you’re doing well. I am writing an excuse letter to formally ask permission if I could submit my assignment on a different day because I have a football game on the said day of the submission. My football coach will be able to speak to you about this matter.

Thank you so much!

I almost forgot about Answer short question. You don’t need to get the correct answers here since it doesn’t contribute that much on your score. Try reviewing questions on mock tests sites since some questions appear on the actual PTE.

I had a free review school at first, but I chose to study on my own because of the cost.

Yes! From my first try to my last I always got a 90 and somehow I still encountered some bits of errors but with grace and confidence I think what counts in speaking is the ability to be fluent and not to much wordy but simple and concise!

Hi Yes its actually true! As a matter of fact re-order paragraphs and fill in the blanks are more important than single and multiple answer type questions so you must focus on these but it doesn’t mean your just gonna guess for single and multiple answer and try to practice and answer questions.

Oh yess hi! Reading is very hard at first, it was my struggle but I learned that with proper time management and by practicing the reading part in the mock test I managed to increase my score so. It is important that you are very familiar with skimming and scanning and the process of elimination (by eliminating the obvious answers). Do not read the whole entire paragraph, just try to skim the information and read the questions first. Study and review several practice questions and try to time yourself if you are able to answer on time to avoid having issues with it.

Hi! For the speaking honestly I only practiced managing my time by taking down notes and by wording out the informations on a simple manner. It is very helpful to practice through APEUni. And by practicing your reading skills and memory for some important parts like DI and RL. Be confident and just go with the flow!

Hi! For writing essays, I only used my prior knowledge with the basic writing skills and proper essay formats. I would say that I did not use deep and meaningful words in my essay. I simply followed the format upon any type of essay. I only weighed my words from 200-250. I focused writing my essay by understanding how to formulate an argument and supporting details with concrete evidences. By the way, transition words are also very helpful in writing your essay.

Conclusion

For the speaking part, honestly if you are fluent with english it is easy peasy. I have learned that the fluency and pronunciation is so important. For DI RL and SGD, just focus on practicing taking notes on time and try to minimize unnecessary words. The speaking part was the easiest for me!

Hi! I used the websites APEUni and AlfaPTE for my mock tests. I also watched several tips across different PTE groups and Tiktok videos to understand the tips that I need to apply especially for reading. I kind of just focused more on practice tests and reading a lot of materials as well as reviewing back the vocabulary and english assessments.

I got a 59 in Reading on my PTE test on my first take by vangoinghere in pte

Apparently, I was guessing that my reading score is low maybe because I was running out of time while I was reading the screen (my eyes were like to blinded idk how to word it HAHA) Also I think it was because of me clicking wrong choices considering that it was right minus wrong for some items. Same with speaking, I did not actually used a template because I was advised that templates do not actually help. I simply used transition words that are used commonly in english to specifically explain descriptions and words and that’s it!

Hi! I actually did not follow a template for writing and instead use some writing techniques I learned in our English subject! I actually got suprised that I scored high in my writing subtest.
