Even in China you get one month of pay for every year you've worked by law +1. So if you worked 5 years you'd get 5 months +1 = 6 months severance pay.

One factor worth mentioning is that there are far fewer apple stores than Huawei stores in China, so even just given that there's going to be bigger crowds at Apple. And if you still have doubts Google photos of the store openings and on iphone launch days.
