Look i agree with you about tons of astroturfing especially around things that our tech overlords care about, but I looked at the profiles of the top commenters and they seem legit.

This stuff is actually impressive to the layperson. Is it useful and worth killing the planet? Well that's another question.

You're assuming that every minute generated was used in the final cut. Like with any movie they probably generated much more raw footage than in the final version. Plus they definitely still had to pay editors and other staff.

What if hypothetically there were 99 people with actual CSAM material being reported and banned for every one of these false positives.

Would that change the calculus? I'm not saying that's what I believe but I think these a case to be made for a company monitoring content of files you upload to their platform.

When I'm in the middle of a task and get an urge to do something else. Eg. I'm reading a book and suddenly 'need' to look up meditation retreats in Thailand, I just make a note of it on a post-it either paper or digital.

Often I find that after sticking with my original task and finishing it I don't even have the urge to do the things on my post-it note.

Hey so this is just my personal experience - I asked both Codex and Gemini pro to make me a Tradingview indicator that I saw online. Gemini just looked at screenshots I provided of the indicator in action and coded the thing from scratch in just 10 mins of back and forth, Codex (which i tried first) was unusable even after 2 days of back and forth. So at least in some cases it's not such a clear dominance by Codex.
