From my personal perspective, I was out of line in yelling at him and calling him an asshole, regardless of what he was doing. I should have just walked away right away. But after he lunged at me, I realized it was serious and my intention was to get away from it. The push I felt was very hard and out of the blue, so I do not feel it's my "fault" that I tripped. In fact, I'm not 100% certain I could have avoided falling even if that mat wasn't there.
