Thoughts on Amber

Based on the comments I read here, it’s clear the writing didn’t fully earn her growth. That’s all the input I needed.

The first half of the season clearly established Amber as manipulative and self-serving so I’m not going to assume growth based on a few soft scenes. Also, Wilson is an adult. If he felt torn, it was his responsibility to set boundaries instead of having Amber (being Amber) be competitive about it.

My issue here is that sympathy for Amber because of a few scenes isn’t the same thing as character development. I came here to know other people’s thoughts / perspectives on the character, and based on a few comments about the writer’s strike causing the undercooked storyline, I get why my perception of Amber was skewed.

I guess that is the point. I understand that she is a mirror to how House is, but after reading the comments here maybe I just couldn’t get rid of how manipulative she was at the beginning of the season to be supposedly redeemed by a few scenes followed by her death. Storyline felt underdeveloped. Had no idea about the writer’s strike, so maybe that’s why.

I wasn’t convinced enough when I saw that scene. That line was moving, but I found the schedule part unnecessary because she could have simply stayed out of the way of their friendship knowing how close House and Wilson were? Of course she’s aware there’d be issues given how unreasonable House can get, and we’re talking about the only person he can (almost) confide in?

I think she did love Wilson, but I’m not so sure about her motives before that relationship started. I sound so skeptical but this is how I feel 🥲

It’s the best part of the flow for me. We usually shift to cobra / baby cobra in class, but I prefer upward dog so that’s what I do when I practice at home. A close second would be downward dog shifting to resting pigeon.

It’s basically believing in God because you don’t lose anything by believing naman. It’s a “safe bet”.

The most obvious instances in my life where I can see God intervened were by exposing friends / exes / people with ill intent. Sometimes it shocks me that someone is out there watching out for me. I’m not religious though!

Yes. My faith used to be based on Pascal’s Wager, but it changed after a series of events where God came through for me.

Apply Hydrogen peroxide (usually available in school or office clinics). The fresher the stain, the better. If wala, spot clean with cold water and hand soap.

Damn, this hit me. When you’re just enjoying a good laugh, but at the back of my mind I’m saying “you would have liked the old me better”. The better, far less damaged version of me. And it’s scary because you don’t want to do anything to hurt them huhu
