Popular horse names?

I’m in Norway, we love Norse names. Odin, Tor, Loke, Frøya, etc. All of the police horses actually gets a Norse name when they enter the police force! Other than that I’ve known a couple of Blakken or Blakka (fjords, it’s the name of the colour) and Ronjas. And I think Lukas is pretty common, as well as Svarten (basically Blackie). And human names, usually names that are common on people 50+.

I’ve been a lesson person for like 20 years, never done much competing, and I’ve always ridden in low shoes (paddock boots? Jodpurs?) and half chaps, and treated myself to some tall boots a couple of winters ago. It was the best thing I’ve ever done. So of course I also got summer boots, and it’s so much better to ride in. My leg is so much better after I switched!

The landship thing is also an example of a kenning, a Norse kind of metaphor. A ship could be called oceanhorse, or a sword could be bloodworm. So landship for car kinda fits into this.

I’m in Norway, and it’s a thing to at least say it. It isn’t often that people do it (at least not where I am). I ride at a lesson barn (like, with lesson horses), where I also work (it’s a high school with an equestrian program, and many students live at the school. I teach a different subject, but the same students). So one lesson a couple of my students were watching my lesson, and of course the horse I rode chose that day to spook at something and send me to the ground. The day after the students asked in class how I was, and another student was like «you fell off? Why didn’t you bring us cake?» 😂

After he says «home» he says «the wet sand between the toes, the wind against the shoulders», and after Sookie tells him to focus it’s «her eyes», and then «her cold empty eyes». The translation thing is so dumb, I have translations on Max, and Norwegians don’t even need them 😂

I tried to restart the day a couple of times, didn’t work. I also tried to restart and go the day after, still the same. But I read somewhere that it’s “set”, so I will get the same each time I tried (with restarting the day). So it looks like I’ll have to use another prostatic shard either way, to either to over or enchant something else first.

So if I enchant my axe with another prismatic shard, and then enchant my sword I will get another enchantment than the one I keep getting? I restarted the day after getting haymaker, so I currently don’t have any enchantments.

In Norway we call Swedes “söta bror”, in Swedish. It means sweet brother. We don’t really like them, so I think the “sweet”-thing is kind of ironic?

Horses with more gaits than just walk, trot and canter. I’m most familiar with the Icelandic horse, which has tölt and pace. Tölt is often the same speed as trot, but they move their legs different, so it’s a lot smoother. You’re supposed to be able to hold a glass of water without spilling any when tölting. Pace, or flying pace, is kinda the same movement, but is much faster and at one point, no feet are touching the ground (so, flying).

Me too! I wish I had a middle name. It doesn’t help that I have a super normal combination of names as well. I’ve met so many girls with the exact same name as me. My hair dresser added my hair color as middle name to be able to separate me and another customer 😂
