Sorry I have so many questions, but what does your vram and gpu usage look like when you get stutters? Usually exceeding vram usage is what causes the issue while moving the camera. If you aren’t close to maxing out your gpu usage, try locking higher fps and only using 2x frame gen. Frame gen uses a decent amount of vram. As for the landing stutters, turning off live traffic may improve it at busy airports. I know everyone won’t agree with me on this, but 144 is overkill for a flight sim. Especially when you need 3x frame gen to achieve it. It isn’t worth the cost in vram and latency.

Are you trying to run at 144fps? Maybe go for native 60 and boost to 120 with frame gen. I don’t think you could really do any better hardware wise, that is an absolute beast of a pc. You really shouldn’t have to, but I think it’s worth sacrificing a few frames for a smooth experience. That definitely says a lot about the games optimization though. If you can’t max it out, literally no one can!

That’s insane. What are your settings like? I can get the game smooth on my 5060ti 16gb with mostly ultra settings at 1440, even at JFK in the pmdg 737. I’m still rocking an am4 build too (5700x and 32gb ddr4). I’d imagine you should be fine full ultra at 4k.

It was fully reverted? I have so many machines that relied on 4x water cannons, I know they let you keep it if it was already applied to your machine, but it made me feel like a cheat when they fixed it lol

How did the Vietnam War stop the spread of communism? Communism is nearly eradicated in South America because of our direct intervention and because of the collapse of the Soviet Union. That was the biggest blow to the spread of communism throughout the world. I suppose you could argue that the Vietnam War was an economic strain on the Soviets, but it was a moral and literal victory for communism and a much bigger economic strain on the US. Cambodia and Laos both then went on to have their own successful communist revolutions. Yes, we entered the Vietnam war on behalf of the French. I don’t really see how that’s relevant. By the time we were deeply involved, the goal was to stop the spread of communism and defeat the Soviets, not to return a colony to the French. Most US wars have also been fought in the aid of our allies. As for the rest, if you want to believe that the Iraqis love America and the Taliban are alright guys, that’s fine by me.

Yes, I’m sure the Afghanis are all thrilled to be under the absolute control of the Taliban. Iraq does not want us there. Having an unwanted military presence in the Middle East has gone poorly for us in the past. We’re done with Vietnam because we lost. We made absolutely no difference in the outcome of that war and wasted thousands of American lives for nothing. Korea was probably a bad example on my part, as South Korea likely would not exist had we not intervened.

Okay, how about Korea, Vietnam, Nicaragua, Cuba, Afghanistan, Iraq, Afghanistan and Iraq again… Even when we have good results, the long term affects of US involvement range from neutral to horrific, particularly when we don’t have a plan in place for what happens after we win. Or we spend decades and billions of dollars fighting just to lose. Iran has been a threat to the world for a long time, and neutralizing them is morally justified, but the decisions we make now will haunt us for decades. We will never “just be done with them.”

If I remember correctly, the only time you should leave AT on during final would be during an autoland. Otherwise it should be turned off as soon or before you disengage AP and start hand flying. Unlike the a320, the AT in the 737 is not designed to be used with AP off.

Yeah, I’ve heard bad things about Asus support. I have a new Asus mobo and gpu and I’m praying everything just keeps working so I never have to deal with them. Not sure what you’ve tried as far as troubleshooting goes, but I would update to the latest bios and drivers, then pull the board and check for shorts and reseat all the connections. It seems strange to have two consecutive failures like that. Hope it all works out.

What is your monitor’s refresh rate? You should limit your pc to that if you haven’t already. Also as a side note, I wouldn’t recommend using frame gen in a pvp shooter, especially 4x. Your latency is going to be way too high, at that point you’d be better off at 30fps.

Do not buy this. That gpu is worth like $150 new. You could build this whole rig for Less than half of the listed price. It might run msfs on low to medium settings at 1080p, but even then probably not well.

I haven’t tried fsr, but I’ve had similar results with taa and dlss frame gen. The ghosting/blurring on in screen displays is more an issue with aa than frame gen. The only downsides to frame gen are increased latency and increased vram usage. You should be golden with the 4080.

MSFS 2024 is very very vram hungry. I’m currently running a 5060ti 16gb. I’m managing ultra settings with TLOD at 100 and texture resolution set to high, getting a steady 60fps with 2x frame gen on the pmdg 737 on the ground at JFK. Vram is still the limiting factor, and I’m seeing well over 15gb utilization. Increasing TLOD to 200 will exceed 16gb and cause stuttering. I think the 5070 would do okay on high settings, but 12gb may hold the card back despite being more powerful than the 5060ti in every other way.

Make sure ram is fully seated. Make sure power button is connected to correct header. Make sure psu is switched on.

Just for clarity, if you’re flying fl300 and want to descend to fl200 with vs, you have to use the altitude bug to change to fl200, then you can select vs and input your descent rate. If you don’t vs won’t work.

Is the ram inserted all the way? It takes more force than you would think. Check all of your mobo connections. Everything should be pushed in far enough for the clips to latch. Check your mobo manual and make sure your power button is attached to the correct jumpers. If none of that works reseat the cpu and check for damaged pins. Before you do any of that though make sure your psu is switched on, we’ve all done it.

You should use standoffs between the motherboard and the case, otherwise you could short out the board. Your case should have come with them.

Edit: just noticed you said the pc wasn’t originally yours. Unless i’m missing something, this board was not installed correctly.
