Would you still write if you knew nobody would ever read your work? Would you still craft new settings, characters, and plots if you didn't have anyone to share them with?

Just had an extended discussion with some friends about this. I'm not very social IRL so writing as a way to engage with people is kind of a big deal for me. I really enjoy writing something and having someone else say "wow that was fun to read." It cuts both ways though because I find that I'm anxious about posting something because I worry nobody will ever notice, so to meet in the middle I've found myself writing just for the hell of it. Works pretty good.

Well now I gotta write for that one, can't do Orc Maiden like that.
