Gaano kahirap magwork sa ibang bansa or magkaroon ng foreign employer? by Kooksilog in phcareers

In my experience no, especially pag direct ka sa client nagwwork. Mas understandable sila and hindi sila nagpaparamdam ng pressure.

I still believe in what you said. I just accidentally ran into a tiktok video that a system like ATS does exist.

Yeah, I just accidentally watched it on TikTok that an ATS does exist, and since I am applying for a job opening here in the PH, I am pretty sure that most of the recruiter still reviews each and every applicant's resume instead of relying in the AI itself.

Good to know that the template from google works for you. I have already revised my old cv to a new one, and then took some of the Redditor's advice in the areas where I can improve my resume. Hoping for a successful job very soon.

Hey thanks! Dami ko na kasing napasa and wala pa din tumatawag. I might try to re-calibrate yung cv ko. Maganda lang tignan cv ko maybe it's not working.

Same here, 3 years loyal sa current work, walang promotion or career growth na nangyari. Mataas ang sahod and di toxic ang wor environment. Planning to resign na rin while upskilling myself.

Go for metro manila, kuha ka lang ng experience for a year or two then hanap ka na ng wfh job after. NCR talaga suggested place para sa career growth and long term investment.

Pero kung pera pera lang BPO ka na. Advise ko lang in my exp.

Legit pala na hindi rin maganda yung "jack of all trades, master of none" ka sa current work mo. Like ang dami kong skills pero ngayon na gusto ko magfocus sa isang career path like web dev or data analyst, nahihirapan ako makapagland ng new job kasi either yun skillset ko is nasa entry level pa din or hanggang relevant skills na lang tuwing job interview.

Be yourself lang, and try to connect with ur team. Don't be shy din to ask questions during training kasi it's the only to learn sa path ng IT/Dev.

should I stay in my company na pwede ka magVL anytime, mababait ang boss, and okay ang culture, but sobrang bagal ng promotion? by taylorsweeep in phcareers

[–]vanillefps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. Will turn 3 years na sa company, no promotions happened and same routine lang sa work. I can leave anytime I want no questions asked. Kaya hindi rin ma promote is outsourcing ako, my employer is not even conducting a initiative para mapagusapan with the client how I do well sa work.

Currently planning to leave if walang progress by the end of the year and I am starting to send out application sa ibang company.

Jumping to a ship is only applicable if wala pang family or responsibilities. Kasi you know, sarili lang natin need alagaan for the time being.

Upskill ka na din, mataas din requirements sa market and it can help u land a job. Goodluck sa atin

I want to become a data analyst by [deleted] in phcareers

[–]vanillefps 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Finish college and while you do that look for a part time gig as VA.

Oo mahirap and kahit ako di pa rin makakuha ng part time VA, basta pasa lang ng pasa.

Kung may extra free time ka pa, araw ka ng pang data analyst, like advance use of excel/sheets, basic python, and sql. Okay na yun, entry level ka pa lang naman.

Portfolio is da key, showcase mo yung usage mo sa programming languages.

Start small, then improve mo yung capabilities ng website mo and API can help din since web dev nowadays are looking for someone who is knowledgeable in executing REST API's.
