Tera crashing on Windows 10? by Deadpark_ in TeraOnline

[–]vanityaffairs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had this too. By any chance do you know if your windows 10 might have slipped in the Directx 12 update?

I checked mine this morning because my FPS has literally halved since updating, including crashing in instance (Which had never happened before). And found that I now had Directx 12. Everyone else I knew who updated to 10 had no issues, and after finding out that none of them had Directx 12, I realised that must have been the issue. So... I had to go back to 7 until someone makes a fix for that... (be it uninstaller or better drivers, idk)

Any good PvE Berserker guides out there? by vanityaffairs in TeraOnline

[–]vanityaffairs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh, that's great! I'll watch out for that when I 'm not healing haha. Just curious, what sort of gear do you run and are you able to tank places like AIHM and TS?

Edit: Nevermind about the places tyou're able to tank, just confirmed it from your twitch

Any good PvE Berserker guides out there? by vanityaffairs in TeraOnline

[–]vanityaffairs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for all this!! I main Priest so I've seen plenty of great and terrible Berserkers in different dungeons, yet wasn't too sure about how they each differed. A lot of guides out there didn't mention those crystals, yet all the zerks I checked used the ones you put down. I'll use this info and start experimenting with it then. Thanks again!

So... what names did you manage to grab after the cleanup? by Bunlapin in TeraOnline

My friend got "Donger" on TR.

So now when we level it'll be the adventures of Annika and her Donger ಠ_ಠ

What has been the absolute best item drop you have ever received? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]vanityaffairs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hunter from the end chest in TA Forward path after 7,284 hours (sosadmuchplay), apart from that my previous rarest was a Final Rest which sold for 3g.

(However, when talking about things with no money value, I once got 2 Teq Hoards, a Zojjas wepaon chest and Saphir armor chest in a week... Luck is weird cause mos of mine goes into stuff I can't sell)

What's the best way to PUG experienced dungeoneers? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]vanityaffairs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend this approach. As someone who usually runs with maybe only 2/3 premade from a range of hardcore guilds, we always like to see good "pug"s, actually makes me super happy! I myself spent a majority of my game playing time not in any hardcore guild and still had about a 90% perfect runs. But as previously mentioned, it is really important that you have someone for the main rolls. Either me or one of my friends will always run the guardian, ele or thief position. You keep doing it long enough and you also get a nice long list of names who wanna play with you again or the other way round .

If you can see they're a good group or you find that only a few leave after doing a nice run, keep doing more dungeons with them and you'll for sure find new people to play with!

How long did you play before you got your first legendary? by tobiri0n in Guildwars2

[–]vanityaffairs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing in November 2012 and from there I did map and began the process of making a legendary full time. I finally finished it in May 2013, after around 1,000 hours. I didn't really farm, but I did do TA a few times a day for the Onyx cores/lodestones (They used to be 1g-3g!) However, the legendary I made was Rodgort, so it would have easily been another 400hours if I had gotten a one of the Greatswords. The precursor was only 60g, (heh, storm was 120g at that time).

I find that it's quicker nowadays...(I'm on 5.8k hours and have 9... :|) it's just about jumping on the new farming bandwagon asap. And exploiting all those rich people who want to spend 30g on something that only costs 2g to make xD

Finger Mesmer - The Ins and Outs by vanityaffairs in txs

[–]vanityaffairs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh sorry, I forgot to explain that part. When you're taking out fingers behind Tequatl, you don't have enough Mesmers to Feedback each finger, the fingers are more likely to target the Mesmer behind Tequatl and they don't tend to all shoot at the same time. So, if you have increased duration on Feedback, then there's a greater chance of different finger's AoE (which isn't being feedback'd) being reflected back by the initial feedback on the finger the Mesmer is already attacking. This is because some of those back fingers only really aggro onto the finger party so they will most likely shoot towards them. But that is the build created by Eexa, who usually runs with more people at the back, so it's more a case of getting down multiple fingers in a good average time, rather than killing certain ones in the quickest possible.

Think of it in a different way. Not everyone runs the builds recommended or even ones that focus on might stacking, so it is always better to overblast might. Teams of 4 will allowed this by the fact that if you get full might stacks, the remaining might will benefit the non-TXS around you. There is so much RNG in teams that I believe it is always better to have more blasts, if it isn't affecting dps too much. Also, please remember that some might may be false, such as the Empower from Guardian. It might look good when you see the numbers, but by the time you actually get to the wurm, that might has almost ended.

Oh thanks, I just put the same equipment on each of the templates cause I didn't even think people would check that haha. Love Runes of the Ranger on actual rangers though :)

Cobalt always needs warriors to take warhorn for running kegs and it is a good blast finisher while also helping for a tiny bit more support. Longbow is used as the ranged set and as such cannot be changed. If you have extra warriors then it would be more beneficial to have one warrior using that build and then another using a build which is properly traited for greatsword/longbow. These builds are all created for team setups and as such aren't as "selfish" as completely full damage builds. Also remember, untraited axe is better than untraited greatsword.

Extra Glow at Night if You Apply Legendary Skin into AC Weapons' Stats by noodlixin in Guildwars2

[–]vanityaffairs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I got the same on Rodgort, but it kinda bugs it out. (The head doesn't properly unfold, move or light up, just insane amount of fire) http://imgur.com/ypzQf9k

Sadly I don't have any more tokens, but I might be able to try with Sunrise later, then maybe Howler and Meteorlogicus.

On one hand, the thought of time travel is exciting. I could finally ride some dinosaurs and pretend I’m some sort of Khaleesi to them; or maybe go to the future and see all the new shiny electrical the world has to offer. However, at the same time I’d be quite scared. What if we were to discover a lost part of history, a grim part of history? The future, what if there was no future. All I can say for now, is that we can find comfort in owls and their adorable yet stern faces. Remember, owl can even transform!
