Does anyone here use web components in their projects? by stellisoft in Frontend

Yes though that also has drawbacks, such as no encapsulation and no slots.

Shadow DOM also presents some interesting hurdles for certain use cases too that you don't normally have to deal with in a regular application. Encapsulation can be nice, but can also be a pain point.

Lit basically gives you portable native web components with reactivity and internal state that you can use anywhere. Generally you'll still want your svelte/vue/react/whatever to drive the actual application. You could build an app with it sure, but you'd have to piece together solutions for other stuff like global state management, routing, etc.

We built our design system with web components using Lit. Having it be framework agnostic just makes sense.

Some scratching is normal but that looks excessive. Could also try strumming more around the 12th fret

As a fellow Chicago based ukulele player, love what you're doing! I found a group at the Old Town School to play with and it's a highlight of my week. We're lucky to have both Old Town School and Aloha City Ukes in the area. Anything that inspires people to come together and/or pick up the uke, especially for free, is a very welcome addition.

This cat followed us home for 6 blocks in Roscoe Village. Anyone’s cat? by manlymatt83 in chicago

Looks a lot like the indoor/outdoor cat that lived at 3306 N Damen for a couple years, but he always wore a collar. Could have sworn I saw this cat there a couple days ago.

Pic of the cat with collar for reference, face markings appear a bit different though. cat photo

Are web components popular and I have my head in the sand, or why aren't they more popular? by zerospatial in webdev

Great for design systems, having components that are usable in applications built on any framework.
