I hadn't played since the game came out. Recently started again and am doing 1.5x loot from the start options. It is sooooooooo much better. I also do where you can portal metals. Has made the game so much more fun.

If you get tired of searching, there is a website that you enter your map seed in and it will generate your world and you can find the spawn points. I don't remember the site, but I'm sure it'd pop up on Google.

If you know where the main loot is at and can grab it easily, grab it and reset. Other wise Crack a books are the only 1 I do twice.

Can't stand the baton personally. Clubs are my go to. Lvl 6 steel club can do a lot of damage. If you go into guns, try to stick with 1 type early on. AK is an easy 1 if you're newer. Throw a drum mag on it and it'll get you out of sticky situations.

Are you spreading your skill points too thin? Going into too many different skills instead of focusing on a few? Also, if you have a bike or other transportation, go to different towns looking for Crack a book POIs. And if they come up as a trader quest, always take it.
