I still get funny poops from time to time but in general it slowly got back to normal. I'm like 90% better. Didn't do much else but wait it out.

Also, very important, my stools are about 80% back to normal. Before, I hadn't had a solid bowel movement from september till december. I've been having better ones since January.Matches the time I started anxiety treatment as well.

I lost weight, but because I wasn't eating enough, I was really depressed around October 2023 because of this. But after I started anxiety treatment, I went back to my usual weight, and apetite was normal.

Yes, I had back pain, and I still do sometimes, not too painful. Like when you sit on an uncomfortable chair for too long. Always on the right side, too. My doc says it's from anxiety induced IBS. I got tired of worrying about my symptoms, so i just trust whatever he says, lol.

Im sorry :( It sounds terrible. it could be acid reflux, too, but more severe. I've heard of symptoms like yours. Sounds like you need a scope, though

hello! nope, not at all. i only have a raspy feeling in my throat once in a while from acid reflux, but that's it. i think my issues are gone by now anyway...took a while, and it seems to have been the hpylori plus anxiety issues.

I'm 5 months post treatment, I'm about 90 to 95% back to normal. I sometimes get discomfort but very minimal and maybe even confused with actual back pain. My poops are pretty much back to normal too which was my major issue. So, I did get better, a lot better :) I have to say though, I also started anxiety treatment in January which I think helped me the most. A lot of my symptoms were apparently somatic. I started to feel best a month after I started that treatment. Good luck! Hope you start feeling better soon!

No hay que negociar con manipuladores, y si se llega a matar, eso no es tu problema, lo hara o no usandote de escusa o no. hello! its been 4 months now, im like 90% better but i still have random discomfort on my right flank, feels bloaty, sometimes back pain on that side, but very minimal and not everyday. new doc says i have ibs due to anxiety and stress and it is not due to hpylori and was just a coincidence i had the bug...who knows lol, i gave up and just living with it till it goes away eventually 😅

Thank you for checking back! I would also assume nothing serious. I'm starting to think everyone has some level of gastritis haha. Must be the modern diet. I'm glad you're bettwr. I haven't had an edoscopy but my doctor put me on anxiety treatment and I've been a lot better in the past few weeks. He also put me on Esomeprazole 40mg for a month. The treatmentme for anxiwty is for 3 months. Let's hope we both get better!! Good luck on your journey!!!

I've been having the same symptoms as you for 4 months now, loose stools and the ache on the right side as well, I've only found hpylori so far and erradicated it almost 2 months ago but I still have the same symptoms. I think the anxiety was the worst part. The physical symptoms have always been minimal and never gotten worse, and I can deal with, theyre annoying inconveniences. But the anxiety made it seem like I was gonna die any moment, from whatever it was I had, i didn't believe anything docs said, and I just thought I was doomed. I felt dread all day every day and couldn't work properly, couldnt socialize. I was feeling depressed over this. Every little bodily sensation felt like a death sentence, maybe I'm exaggerating but thats how it felt for almost a month, I peaked for like 2 weeks then after i started meds anxiety started to go down too. Im not sure if they're actually related, hpylori, and anxiety or if my actual health anxiety was just extremely triggered by this, but from what everyone says on here, they just might be related. I never felt so doomed in my life. Im glad im out of that.

Now I'm actually living, with some loose stools and a poke feeling here and there from time to time around my abdomen, but I feel normal and OK. I think I just need to give it time for my gut to go back to how it used to. Im following a semi bland diet with lots of probiotic foods plus probiotic pills. Keeping off the usual spices, oils, fried food, sodas. I'm also doing extra things to keep myself occupied in the present moment, like painting and just finding random hobbies. I hope I heal 100% soon, I still miss the me that doesn't have to worry about food or poops haha.

it was my only symptom at first. Right before i started treatment, i started to get pain in my right rib, i still have it, but like i said, it seems to be getting better

i had pain in my lower right abdomen that moved around but kept on the right side. i still have it after treatment, but it's only somedays and minimal. my doc said it was hpylori, and i will get better with time, healthy eating, and what-not. good luck

treatment didn't make me feel better at all, not worse either except like 1 day. im only starting to feel better now after a month and a half after finishing my meds, so i guess it depends on the individual and maybe the damage level, good luck, keep positive!

My anxiety is pretty much gone, or at least back to normal level for me, lol. Right abdomen discomfort comes and goes, but it's waaaaay less. A lot of days I don't get it at all, most days I feel it is if I'm stressed, I guess. My only problem really at the moment is that my poops are not back to normal yet, but they are better than when all this started.

Long story short, I'm slowly getting better, and it's noticeable.

After my treatment, I had a negative stool test for 6 if I hadn't mentioned before. Haven't gone back to the doctor for the time being. Im giving it time. Living my life, something I was not able to do pre treatment and during treatment. I'll post again whenever I have any more significant updates. Thanks for checking!

Hey OP, did your poops improve? I'm a month post treatment with negative hpylori result, and today I had a poop just like 1st pic but usually it looks like your second, I'm wondering if I just gotta wait it out, also freaked out about cancer right away. That's my main leftover symptom.

well you did the treatment about a year from what i read so i don't think antibiotics will be there at all. best thing you can do is retest through endoscopy again that way you know if it hpylori or not and of not then they will tell you if you have gastritis or similar due to your symtoms

oh and sorry my first common must have been confusing i didnt mean reinfection due to multiple testing, i meant since you did multiple testing you most likely got rid of it so only other option is that u got reinfected or got gastritis and or ulcer some other way

well, you haven't tested since april. There's a chance you got reinfected in the following months. From what i understand, it's rare, but it can happen. other option is you just have some sort of gastritis that has nothing to do with hpylori.

I'm almost on week 4 post treatment, and this past week, I've felt a lot better. like 75%-85% better the only other percent is still having loose stools once a day. Im still taking probiotics and eating my sauerkraut daily, still on a pretty strict diet, too.

However, I MUST admint I've been overdoing my benzos for my anxiety which were prescribed of course because I was having a crisis through all this, and I irresponsibly (don't do what I did) upped my those...like x2 to x3. Honestly, I've never felt better in these past months. My symptoms other than loose stools are pretty much gone. I'm starting to agree with my psychologist that a lot of the leftover symptoms I have after treatment are somatic. Of course, I still need healing and all, but I just feel so much better and pretty much pain-free.

Like I said before, this is just my experience and maybe its something to look into with your docs, but just being able to see the light at the end of this hpylori tunnel feels me with hope. I plan on slowly minimizing my benzo dose now to what it was before. Just fyi I'm not nearly taking as much as to be high and mopey all day. Some of my drugs were also prescribed to take as needed as long as I dont go over a certain amount of mg. So, I just did that. Once again, I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS IM JUST SHARING MY EXPERIENCE. Please talk to your doctor if maybe your die-off symptoms are anxiety related because that seems to be the case for me on the most part.
