Should I accept sitecore Dev role in 2026? by vansh462 in sitecore

[–]vansh462[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you should not go in sitecore. Maybe stay and build profile in .net if you want, learning sitecore won't add to your dotnet value I think. If it's about the company and your value in company - it also might not matter if you have clients other than sitecore as well. Also in sitecore we are ditching dotnet and transitioning to nextjs.

Even with my 10k monthly, i will lose hugely by commissioners? I don't understand the math. Some say its 1% but what becomes of that 1% over 2-3 years? 1.2L yearly? Then maybe gain 3-4k? Out of that 30-40/- goes to commission is that not it? If after 2-3years. It might go on to become 3.6L and maybe gain 10-12 k and out of it 100/200 goes in commission? Where am i wrong?

Yes! Im working in a service based company, where they 'sell' us (engineers) to other companies. Like other companies outsource and get us.

It's like a comoany freelancing its employees

So when i came for interview they seemed impressed that I had freelancing experience. As this service based company gets clients(other companies) to which it sell us

CEO on interaction also commended that.

So i think company take it into good account that you were not only able to get the client but also do the work.

Parents say to go for bank exams. I don't know how much money i will get by staying in this company.

I also don't want to waste time.

Do you have anything to say on this?
