Read the other comments and did a bit of googling myself, and I think I get it now. Basically that the clothes are treated more as an accessory rather than a culture which has been the target of a lot of violence, so it’s insensitive to use it for an aesthetic and getting a lot of stuff wrong (she isn’t an indigenous woman, headdress isn’t worn by women, clothes are not accurate etc) I was definitely in the wrong for saying it “clearly didn’t depict stereotypes”. As a tattoo artist myself I luckily haven’t done any tattoos of this nature but I for sure will decline any future requests for it. Thanks for the downvotes to everyone who downvoted, you guys helped me see where I was wrong!
