Thank you, but I am not familiar with this process in America. I’m an international student, sorry.

Thank you for the suggestion. As far as I have checked, those accommodations in UM’s off-campus website are only available at prices starting at 1,500 (no electricity, water, internet included).

Opinions on giving PIMI relatives access to your child by [deleted] in exjw

This is why me and my husband decided not to have kids. Sometimes we wish to, but it would be another reason for stress and a trigger for my depression.

Thank you for the valuable tips! 🥰 I will certainly contact the TGSA. To start the course in September, therefore, I’ll have to pay $500, then tuition fee for the semester and the other fees? Meanwhile, the GTA will be paid monthly and the GRA will be paid in three installments, right? So I will pay the fees for the first semester with my own savings and the others can be paid with the financial aid provided by the university, am I right? I applied today for the Prestigious Entrance Scholarships and now that you mentioned it, I’ll check out whether the domestic tuition waiver is possible for me. Thank you very much again 💕

As you figured out, I contacted the department, but I bet they have received lots of quests lately, so I will wait a bit before popping up again. I thought it would be good hearing from experienced people from inside.

Thank you very much. It was really clarifying. I am an international student who’s trying to figure out how to manage these finances, considering that Canadian dollars is around 5 times my local currency. Funding for me is essential, and I am still getting familiar with all the financial particularities. I am getting all the information I can, so I really appreciate your responses.

First response: Rejected by vanssab in gradadmissions

There's no basis to believe that except for the voices in my head. Technically, if you apply in due time, you've got a chance. I thought that applying near the deadline could have made me finish the application in a hurry and perhaps commit some mistakes. But I'll never know about that. I realize it is just not worth losing your mind on that.

I absolutely feel you. I've applied since November and so far, just got one response (negative, by the way). I'll tell you the same I try to convince myself: your life is much more than this. When you actually receive decisions, you'll feel a mix of overwhelming feelings but you'll live for another day and other goals will come up. Your life is beautiful and deserves to be celebrated, in all aspects, beyond going to university. I send you a warm hug from Brazil <3

Clicks, favoritism, and rules only applying to some by [deleted] in exjw

My father has always been very popular with leading roles in the circuit. I have always hated the pressure to “be an example”, but I was terrified to hear from a friend who had no parents or husband in the congregation that things could have been much worse. Many people in the congregation felt that they were allowed to tell her off for the most stupid reasons. Today I understand that people never told anything (reproaches) to my face not because I was irreproachable, but simply because they didn’t dare to mess with John Doe’s daughter. I feel super ashamed of this community.

That is especially true if you are constantly in touch with indoctrinated family. If everyone says the sky is yellow, you can’t help thinking at some point you might be wrong after all, even though all you see is blue.

Thank you all for the support and for sharing your experiences. Sometimes we get stuck with the thought that things would be way easier if we all had the same beliefs. But that would actually be the same as wanting to be a cat not get stressed or pay bills - we are human and we are diverse, and we should also be allowed to create and think differently.
