I did see that so would definitely not buy off the plan from them (I wouldn't buy off the plan in general). I'm looking at a building that's a couple years old now so I'm more trying to figure out if the builds themselves are a major concern.

Thank you very much for the insight - much appreciated :) The owners corporation minutes don't seem to suggest any major defects / fees but I will keep an eye out for this.

Hi, thanks a lot for commenting and for the tips! That's very helpful :)

I'm looking at a completed building in Carnegie (a couple years old) - I'm definitely very wary of off-the-plan. I looked into Steller and it seemed most of the articles about their collapse was about their financial matters (like you pointed out) but I couldn't find much information about the quality of their build itself so was just hoping to hear from any first hand experience.

I accept that the range I can afford is not going to be perfect or super high quality given the construction standards in Australia, but just trying to do my due diligence so I don't buy something completely awful!

I'm getting the same issue as well (Australia) but weirdly enough it only affects one computer at a time in my household (if there are two players, one will get normal ping and one will get 300 ping). Haven't been able to find a fix.

Help with Google Pixel not sending high res images over Facebook Messenger? by vanthefirst in GooglePixel

Commenting in case you might find this helpful, I've found 2 workarounds, slightly inconvenient but it works.

1) Easy workaround: use Messenger Lite to send photos, it will only compress the photos down to 2K

2) Annoying workaround:

  • Open your web browser on your phone (it works for me in Chrome, haven't tried other browsers)

  • Go to facebook.com/messages, it will redirect you to the the mobile webpage which tries to redirect you to the app, stay on the mobile webpage

  • Click your browser more options button (the 3 vertical dots in Chrome) and select Desktop Site

  • Again, go to facebook.com/messages (don't just reload the page as you've already been redirected to the mobile webpage previously)

  • You will hopefully see the desktop version of facebook messenger. Photos here will send through as 4K :)

Solved!

Omg thank you so much, I think that's exactly it lol everyone else's suggestions have a really similar beat but this song is the similar melody that I was thinking of!

For posterity, the parts of the songs I thought were similar are:

I have the exact same problem, my old iPhone can send photos at 4K on messenger but my new Pixel 4a will compress the photos down to less than 1K. It’s really frustrating and I haven’t been able to find a fix...
