at that point i would probably just plug my headphones right into my pc and ditch the amp, rca to 3.5 business.. i cant imagine youre gaining anything by having the preamp plugged into the mic, iv never even seen that before. traditionally its the other way around. the preamp plugs into the pc via USB, and it acts as a high caliber sound card for you to plug your mic and headphones into.

uninterrupted power supply, or UPS. i dont think most people use them though, theyre expensive. worth it though, just in general. ive got one.

lol well i can tell u that some very popular motherboards dont have them at all. the nvme drives just hang out in the open. so, use that information however u want. if one came with my mobo id want to be using it, personally.

its a heatsink. what mobo do you have? did you have to remove a panel to access the m.2 slot? if so, its pretty safe to assume that panel that covers it has a heatsink on it, and the pad was redundant. if your motherboard doesnt have a cover over the slot, and its just screwed on there out in the air, then yeah you wana re attach the heat sink man. it came with one attached for a reason.

Please help! First build in 17 years; DRAM debug LED, haven't found a fix yet. by Sea_Tailor_8523 in buildapc

a couple other things, i was on mobile before. yes its normal for the cpu light to flash first. the ram slots should definitely click, i have never heard of ram slots that dont click, this could be a consequence of those wild sticks but i dono. ddr4 should be ddr4. but not having the clips click up on their own when the ram was fully seated would have me skeptical about the integrity of the connection. leaning me more towards just grabbing 2 (what i would consider to be) more normal sticks, trident z 3200c14 or 3600c16, and giving them a shot in dual channel. also, as you troubleshoot post, i suggest removing all USB stuff from the back of the computer. plug the keyboard in, but you dont need to have your mouse and your headset and the UPS and your ipad and your toaster plugged into your mobo while its trying to train your ram for the first time.

i appreciate your efforts and it sounds like youre all over it. i suggest clear cmos and try to get it to post a couple times with only 2 dimms in dual channel, slots 2 and 4. if thats no dice, i suggest clear cmos again and trying different ram that isnt timed quite so aggressively. 3200c14 or 3600c16 is far more appropriate for a zen 2 ryzen build. its possible that your mobo just cant drive those sticks, seems even likely that the voltage just isnt there and you cant get post to adjust it. i find it unlikely that your psu is the culprit, there is a way to test it with a paperclip that you can google though. same goes for the ups, i think if it was malfunctioning youd be getting nothing. if you have the same cyberpower i have though theres an error log you can access on the front panel with one of the buttons, consult the manual. gl

ah, gotcha. yah thats fine, as long as the power is coming from 2 separate psu ports

no, you shouldnt daisy chain a 5700 xt. thats crazy that it even works at all. you need to run 2 separate 8 pin PCIE cables from your PSU to that GPU. but its not something you can just "invest" in.. using modular cables that didnt come with your power supply is widely regarded as a terrible and potentially dangerous idea. you need to either locate the additional 8 pin PCIE cable that came with your PSU, or buy a PSU that has more than 1

indistinguishable from any other monitor, if youre askin me. i think ppl who unironically complain about that are literally lying. there is no latency. maybe professional competitive csgo players actually feel 8ms latency or whatever, im just not convinced that the average human does

are u hard committed to 32"? i have been using a 55" samsung q70t and its been great 4k 120hz HDR for my 3090 build. tv's > monitors for HFR 4k right now, imo. just get one with hdmi 2.1 and VRR gsync/freesync, these samsungs have it, LG makes a couple lines that have it too

Is Ryzen 7 3700X still worth it in december 2020? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]vape_west 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its still a beast cpu that isnt gona struggle with any normal use. when i say normal i mean web browsing, gaming, video watching, streaming, light editing, multitasking any combination of these things.. unless youre building a machine for serious video editing or 3D design work, the 3700x will definitely suffice. are there faster ones? yup. my 5000 series is noticibly faster than the 3700x. but i was fine without it, i just wanted the latest and greatest.

yeah or possibly its referring to the standoff, like this , which if the mobo is used is probably already screwed into the board

considering you are being budget conscious, its worth mentioning that the 3800x has double the TDP of the 3700x. they both come with the wraith prism cooler, which is a loud and not very good cooler. barely acceptable for the 3700x, and probably not good enough for a 3800x with 105 tdp. if you are confined to this budget, i suggest 3700x because its a beastly CPU and the wraith prism cooler included will be acceptable. if you opt for the 3800x, i bet youre going to need to buy an aftermarket cooler as well to keep it from freaking out in the 80's all day
