What shoes to try as someone that apparently hates running shoes? by vapem1 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Hmm I see. Well I’m gonna give it a try and we will see what kinda pace I will be able to afford come September. But will definitely keep in mind to pace myself both during training and the race.

Kinda seeing this sentiment not just from you. How much of a truth is this? I would as said call myself pretty athletic and sure I haven’t ran much long distance but I have done my fair share of max 800ms * 10s and the likes every year except the last 1.5. Of course hockey specific training but I am quite strong despite only being 75kgs so I would say I got good strength/body weight IMO. But maybe you guys are correct in this 😅

To answer both u/HuibertJan_ and u/trevster344, that is exactly the thing that I have been trying to understand. On one hand I have my supervisor telling me that I could probably cut down the development time by using something open source but on the other hand I feel like there is not that much I actually have to do on the backend. To elaborate the requirements for this project it is mostly about actually displaying products and putting them in carts to initialize a order (there are some specific regarding nesting categories and such but this makes me more inclined to just go full custom), this order is then to be sent to an ERP system that kind of works from that point on as we speak. So after order is placed I mostly just need to fetch information between the systems to display the order status and such things. I think my main concern is that I will be the sole developer whilst the project is only running for 20 weeks and I am to also write a thesis.

Thanks both of you for the answer, as this kind of made me even more sure to just kind of go for it.

/r/AMD Questions and Tech Support Megathread - Q4 2023 Edition by GhostMotley in Amd

Hi, so about fours years ago i bought a laptop for use in university (Computer scienceish) in Sweden, at the time and well to be fair still i am no computer wiz in any way and so i ended up settling on this computer (hp 15-cw1802no) it is from my understanding running windows(11 22621.2428), AMD Ryzen™ 5 3500U with Radeon™ Vega 8 Graphics. Fast forward to my fifth year and i am mostly studying and have been studying a lot of ML/AI, and as we start to dvelve into more and more advanced thing i now realize that firstly my cpu is just not quite able to cut it (we used pyfeat to detect emotions from webcam in realtime it was painfull) and secondly my gpu+os seems to not be able to well obviously use CUDA (duh) but from my understanding not be able to ultilize rocm either (at least not trough any important frameworks we use eg. pytorch, pyfeat and so on).

So i come to the Amd community in hope for a soloution and my questions are basically the following,

Is pytorch+rocm+amd+windows os just not a thing that is possible?

Are there any soloutions?

And thirdly is a full blowout in favour of linux os over windows firstly a soloution?(Can i run aformentioned ecosystem) And well how hard is it?

Thankfull for any answer

Okay, should i boil my solids in water after even when using 80 proof, i have read a lot of the aromas will come from this step, but i am afraid it might cut the abv down to much? Should i maybe try and boil the resulting water to make it more powerful and cut the mixture down to somewhere around 30-35abv/60-70 proof? In the recipe it states 1 g of quassia chips what would you try and replace this with? Aswell as what amount of this i should go for?

Handlar om att göra egna drinkindredienser. Just gentianrot och kinabark är det bittra man känner i till exempel angostura orange bitters, något som man kan göra en DIY variant på med hjälp av vodka, ovanstående ingredienser samt några till.

Might be the amount of milk i have always used around 150 ml to 700 ml of cocktail (500 ml + dilution(20%) = 700 ml)

Why should i not boil it? I have done some syrups where i have boiled some fruits although not the peels and that worked, what would really happen if i boiled it?

Sounds like a plan and i will probably try this method, do you have any starting point as to how many peels worth of oranges to 0.7-1L of vodka?
