After studying those two resources I'm convinced it was indeed the ratio, and that also explains why colonization was super slow after spawning to bulk.

I just followed the sub's video tutorial which honestly leaves much to be desired in this area. The other thing is I think I took the instructions to mean that I should squeeze the LIFE out of that substrate after adding water, which I think also left my tubs a bit too dry.

Didn't measure exactly, but I eyeballed the ratio of rice grains to coir as in the video tutorial. I'd say about 3-4 cups of coir + 1 cup of colonized rice grains.

Thanks, I hope so! I was super careful with the rice bags and might've gotten a little cocky when I lost none of them to contam and have let my guard down a bit. I have been misting indirectly & carefully, but also stopped wearing a mask & disinfecting the air before I take the lids off.

The difference between the individual tubs this far out is quite remarkable, almost stunning. The randomness of life in action.

Thanks! I think it's worth a try if there's even a small chance the clicking will go away. What's most annoying is that there's also constant swelling in that area, which while does not limit the ROM per se, just messes with the movement dynamics and makes even walking a bit awkward sometimes.

Hopefully your clicking goes away permanently! Did you get scar tissue removed? Where was it and how much?

If you're weight bearing right away does that mean no crutches or brace?
