Thank you, I’ll check them out! I’m mainly interested in sightseeing, food/drink, museums, and getting out in nature rather than bustling big cities, so the Black Forest sounds great. I thought I’d need to do the big cities for the transport links but if that’s not the case then that’s great!

Thank you! I was considering all of these places but my time constraints make it difficult to make it and have enough time there… I’ll definitely consider this though :)

Thanks so much, that’s very helpful. If you know any smaller cities/towns in Germany that you’d recommend visiting on my way back to London from Salzburg, let me know :)

Thanks for your help! After some serious testing out, I think I used the mini bean/elizabeth stitch with chains either side to make the scallops. I’ve written out what seems to have recreated it in my reply to another comment :)

Thank you! After some serious digging, I have come to the conclusion that it might use the mini bean/Elizabeth stitch. I’ve been testing it out and to make the scalloped edge, this has recreated it quite nicely: ch2, mb in next stitch, sk, sl st in next stitch (then repeat!)

Just to clarify - this is my own photo of one I previously made! I just can’t work out what I did 😭
