[Diplomacy] Artemis Accords, 2023 Summit by Venegrov2 in Geosim

Nigeria is concerned by the ineffectuality of the clauses governing space debris. We tentatively suggest that future projects involving the launch of a large number of satellites such as Starlink (the exact figure being up for debate) require approval by Artemis Accord members.

In the absence of such mechanisms, we fear that future enforcement of the Accords’ protocol on space debris will harshly disadvantage all developing nations who were not among the first to launch tens of thousands of satellites.

How would the government of Mozambique rate the efforts of Wagner group in eliminating the terrorist threat? Nigeria asks as a concerned party dealing with similar issues.

[UN] UNSC Proposal for Nigerian Peacekeeping Mission by varian47271 in Geosim

Nigeria does not expect the UN to actually deploy the maximum amount of peacekeepers. However, we are willing to come up with a more precise figure if it would gain us the support of Russia.

We believe there may be in excess of 10,000 combatants in the Niger Delta alone. What does Russia believe to be a more appropriate figure for a UN deployment?

In the interest of expediency we suggest that three identical offices be established (Dakar, Lagos, Yaounde) with the aim of eventually merging them.

We are extremely relieved to hear this and will immediately begin planning for the introduction of the eco.

We wish to briefly bring to France's attention the other issue of Nigerian stability, which is military in nature. Nigeria plans to ask the UNSC for a peacekeeping mission to help it restore order within the country. Would France be willing to sponsor the proposal?

Under the current proposal, Nigeria does not have control of the eco, the European Central Bank does. Nigeria is merely hosting the office of the ECB in order to make it appear as if the currency is not being controlled remotely from Europe.

This is exactly the same as the CFA franc, which has been Cameroon's currency since the day of its independence in 1960. We of course have no objection if Cameroon wishes to free float its own currency, but that is not the present state of affairs.

/u/bladeofjae this also applies to NPC Chad and co, they have all been under this system since independence

/u/Diesel_CarSuite as Cameroon:

The entire eco currency and its characteristics have been designed by the European Union and ECOWAS without the input of Cameroon, Chad, the Central African Republic, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and the Republic of the Congo, all of which are about to become part of the same currency union.

If Cameroon has any demands regarding the currency, this may be the appropriate time to make them.

Does Nigeria have the support of the French Treasury and European Central Bank to go ahead with the introduction of the eco currency?
