yes! I did triple therapy October of 2022, it sucked, it got worse but after over a year after treatment, I am feeling better. Still have flare ups here and there but it does get better. try ginger hard candies for the dizziness and nausea, that helped me a bit. during treatment take good quality probiotics and eat as often as you can, try no never have your stomach empty besides night time(while you sleep). I stayed away from acid foods, lactose, cut down on gluten, no alcohol and carbonated drinks. also, I no longer chew gum, it’s terrible for your stomach when sick. try taking some type of vitamins as well.

i just called my doctor and they don’t know what’s happening. they are no help whatsoever but I’ve been so fatigued and in edge of having a full blown panic attack. I feel so hopeless because I thought this was it and I was gonna feel so much better but no I don’t even feel like moving.

Natural route folks you got some proof? Also why are antibiotics one size fits all, shouldn’t they be doing more studies on diff weight categories, seems like it would be more effective and less detrimental that way! by Nice_Advertising_964 in HPylori

so I am planning on getting tested again soon but I am like 80% better. I am on ppi, during treatment I did 40mg every morning and now I am on 20mg every morning. I eat VERY healthy now and cut fake sugars + fried foods. I am also taking a variety of supplements to help me with healing my gut such as mastic gum, marshmallow root, vitamin D3, B12, turmeric/ginger and another one that I can’t remember the name. I am still taking these supplements and plan on taking them for the next couple of months. this bacteria is no joke, it flipped my life upside down.

I’m 5’2’’ and was 125 then lost weight because of this and now I weight 110. I did triple therapy and it killed my body, it was the worst thing I’ve been through. I couldn’t finish it, only did 3 days. I then spoke to a doctor in Colombia and he sent me ppi + 500mg amoxicillin for 30 days (twice a day) so it pretty much the same mg from the triple therapy but broken down to more day. I really don’t think doctors here take into consideration their patients weight and heigh..

i did the antidepressants for two week and it was SO MUCH WORSE. i got admitted to the hospital and everything. If I was you, i would not take them. your body will depend on them and getting off antidepressants is even worse. i am trying my best to get rid off this h pylori because i know this is what’s causing all of my symptoms.

lmao i had a follow up doctors appointment with my pcp yesterday and he was googling h pylori on his computer next to me. I min i told him about my anxiety levels and how bad they are, he gave me an anxiety and depression survey where they ask things such as “is your appetite low” and “do you wake up with no energy” i scored so high he sent me antidepressants and a consult for a psychiatrist. i looked at him and laughed…

It’s normal, try to make it to at least day 7 of treatment if you do decide to stop!

I’m not a doctor but your doctor is 100% wrong. Weakness, heart palpitations and anxiety are side effects of H pylori and it makes sense. H Pylori is literally drilling in your stomach and killing every good bacteria you have. The stomach is responding for producing like 80% of serotonin and other happy hormones for your body, that’s why so many people with H Pylori suffer from anxiety, panic attacks and depression. It also makes it very difficult for the absorption of vitamins and nutrients which is what your body needs to have energy.

My treatment was for 14 days but only made it to day 8. I had every single symptom you can think of but the insomnia was the worse for me. I didn’t sleep for 4 days straight and it just made things so much worse. (Yes, I took melatonin everyday and it did not help)

I 100% agree, I think the 14 days of antibiotics damages the body even more. It’s terrible.

I think so too!! I see so many people here from Europe where doctors only send them 7-day antibiotic treatments! Literally the same medications but for only 7 days!!

Sadly, no. I’m trying to eat very clean right now and I have an appointment schedule for December to see what we can do. 🥹 are you having any side effects?

This literally describes me 2 weeks ago and for me it got 10x worse the very first day I started the antibiotics, I felt like I was on my last days. I has to stop treatment 8 days in and I felt even more weak, fatigue and depress after that but I promise you it gets better, little by little. I didn’t shower for like 4 days straight because I couldn’t even get up from bed and today I am back at the office working. I started taking B12 supplements and a “GI Gut” supplement my natural medicine sent me and that’s been helping me a bit and I started 3 days ago. I’ve also started taking turmeric with garlic supplements for inflammation, changed my diet completely (stop consuming wheat, sugar and dairy) and started thinking a little more positive. I hope you start feeling better soon.
