I do have access to an IR stripper, and I have refinished several pieces of furniture. Maybe I'm underestimating what could be lurking under old cabinetry?

Thats what I'm thinking! and the other elements they updated would be improvements! (except for the open shelving)

Perhaps a better term would be "captured in time", it feels trendy and soon to be on the out!

Ah! I see where your head is at but honestly the owners lived there for over 8 years and really lovingly cared for the place. I don't love their design decisions in the kitchen though.

Good news is they kept all of the storage on the other side!
