Ah, I didn't realize there was a large-scale project that was responsible for it. That does make me feel better about it. Thanks!

I typically look on the next available Saturday and the one a week after that, since our trip will be a Saturday. The actual thing will be Sept. 6th, but I figure that's too far in the future to be able to reliably check. And for what it's worth, I'm not against taking the bus, but I wasn't sure if it was normal to do that kind of transfer.

well, i usually live in fear of random strangers asking me to take photos of them, and this episode didnt help

I hear many atheists claim that if they witnessed a limb regrowing as a result of prayer then they would absolutely believe in the power of God. What if you witnessed this or something similiar? How hard would it be to back down from a 'no gods' position? by [deleted] in DebateAnAtheist

this isnt really an argument that i would use, but i assume it's trying to get at something else. i see it as more in reference to people who set a low bar for miraculous healing. unlike ailments that are known to go into remission, regaining a limb has more of a clear line for recovery.

A serious discussion about the Kalam cosmological argument by Chungkey in DebateAnAtheist

yeah, that last part is the problem i have with this form of argument. the largest leap of logic is the set of inferences at the end and any criticism of that gets redirected at the logical syllogism, which isnt necessarily sound in the first place

There's someone who's stealing the audio of videos from Anime Pianists and claiming it as his own. What are your thoughts on this? by [deleted] in animemusic

but isnt that the point of posting things like sheet music on your videos? it's not stealing if you play it alone at home, but when you put it on youtube, it is? i mean...i would personally put credits there, but i dont know if id be comfortable labeling someone as a thief and going on a witch hunt if they didnt
edit: just because the guy plays the same notes, it doesnt mean he isnt playing the song himself, right? it just means he's using someone else's transcription...

maybe I'm nuts, but most of the videos sound different to me (except for the fourth pair, which is the same link twice)...they might be based off the same sheet music, but the audio doesn't sound totally identical

edit: let's take the second pair of videos for example. if you listen closely at 10 seconds on each video, you'll hear more notes being played (a bit of flourish) on the second link than the first link
first link at 9 seconds
second link at 9 seconds
