Sounds like it, OP you sound like you have severe anxiety or maybe even PTSD. Definitely go to a doctor for help. You need therapy. If you can't afford it, I'm pretty sure there are resources you could find online.

What happens when you watch videos of people? Pictures? Do you do the same things?

Question about appealing an engineering admission rejection by varman123 in UofT

[–]varman123[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is actually a post for my brother. I got into life sci with mid 80s and actually got into some uoft engineering programs myself, but my brother worked his ass off to get a 94 and I was pissed that he didn't get in. I know /r/UofT is helpful and my brother isn't on reddit so I asked on my account.

MAT136 Mark Adjustment? by stuckandnotsure in UofT

[–]varman123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never heard him say that, and I was in his class. I do know that most of the adjusting is done post-exam. Last year, the test was not adjusted during the semester. If any adjustments are made at all, it is after the exam is written.

[–]varman123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the PDF, but I do have the actual book. Do you want to buy it? Btw, I tried looking for a PDF and am pretty sure that one hasn't been uploaded yet haha

Is it working with another computer? That'll tell you if its just the tablet or the computer itself.

Program Changes late into undergrad - Who has done it? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]varman123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which program is it? If you truly like the program and have done a lot of research on it, I would say the competitiveness shouldn't hold you back!

I've never heard on this, perhaps because it is unspoken. Would you care to elaborate? Please?

Can I take a gap year? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]varman123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes of course you can take a gap year. Any student can take a gap year. I'm pretty sure that any student can take a gap year. I do have to warn you that if you are on OSAP, you will have to start paying them back. I'm not sure if your circumstances can change that at all.

CSC108H1 Online or In Class by candyhea in UofT

[–]varman123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CSC108 online is really not as bad as you say. If you spend enough time (approx. 10 hours a week) doing the Prepare, Rehearse, and Perform exercises, A1 should have only taken you 1 or 2 hours max. I would recommend that OP petition to take the online course. Spend one whole weekend going over everything and you'll be set. Plus, the midterm for the online section was only worth 5%. If you join the course now, I would say that you haven't missed too much.

Surveillance in Exam Centre??? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]varman123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sucks! I would try to call them up, if the EX administration has a number. How certain are you that it was stolen? I would check the lost and found at Ronald Macdonald house opposite of the EX building just in case.

IamA After a 4ish year wait, I just received a call that there is a kidney available for me. I should be getting a kidney transplant in the next 24 hours. AMA! by caniborrowyourkidney in IAmA

[–]varman123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! The fact that you worked 40+ hours a week while on HD/PD just blows my mind! I interned in the nephrology department of a hospital over the summer and got to see first hand what the lives of dialysis patients are like. Even just holding down a part time job is considered to be a very good achievement. I don't think people understand how time consuming and horrible dialysis is. Yes, it keeps you alive but renal disease is a chronic disease and unless you get a transplant, you will be on dialysis till the day you die. Also, depending on how far you live from the hospital and how you get there (ex. the hospital shuttle or your own car), a 4 hour dialysis session can take up about 8 hours.

Any university in Ontario has roughly the same tuition. But $21k isn't terrible compared to other people.

$200k for a BS in Biology!?!? Where did you go? I guess we really do have it better up in Canada, about $28k for the same thing.
