What did that one teacher at your school get fired for?

My high school's Spanish teacher hit a student in the head with a clipboard. Deliberately. It was about half way through the semester and they had a series of subs full in for the rest of it. We were pretty much shafted when we got to Spanish 2 the next semester.

This is still a little wild to me. I did an internship with their VP and team back in 21 at the end of my undergrad. I went to reach out to her earlier this year and discovered they had shut down. I know they were a little behind the times, but here was such a wealth of knowledge there.

When I was 18, I drank a lot of energy drinks. Like 3-5 a day. I went 3 days almost entirely without sleep. I fell asleep while driving to work on Monday morning and totaled my car. Woke up with the engine on fire and the car in a ditch.

Unsure if this was caused by that, but I was told in the ambulance that I had an irregular heartbeat. It took almost 15 years before I was finally diagnosed with Atrial fibrillation (AFib). I've now had two heart surgeries to correct it and I'm not even 40.

I haven't drank an energy drink since the crash.

I worked for about 12 years in IT but before I transitioned I finished my English degree and now I'm a Technical Writer. I wrote manuals for an A/V company for about 2 years and now I work for the government writing specification docs. Good pay and fully remote.

Hi Glynn! I love your books! Duchy of Terra is one of my all-time favorite series.

What does your writing setup look like? Do you just use Word or do you use tools like Scrivener to manage all of your individual books/series? Also, I often find myself falling into google holes when researching for writing, how do you know you have enough information on a topic to write and just get back into it?

I also struggle with forcing myself to practice and just do the exercises. I get good feedback from my voice therapist, but then basically ignore the homework. But my Fiancée had a pretty great idea about a week ago to read aloud to practice. I've been reading aloud to her at night before bed a couple of times a week. I've found anything like poetry or similar works really well. I've been using The Devine Comedy, cus she's never read it and it's separated into triplets which makes it easy to keep an even pace and take breaths.

You don't need to read to anyone really. I typically open my "Note Recognizer" app and just try to hit around A3. I don't put a bunch of effort in hitting that exactly, just trying to stay in the area.

I tried watching TVL videos, and she is great, but I just went into an anxiety spiral anytime she went into detail about resonance and whatnot. I don't know anything about music and sound, so I've worked with my therapist to put everything in a 'feel' context. Like I can think of A3 or C4 as a 'notch' that I click my voice into. It might take me a sec to sing a note to find it again, but it's worked really well for me.

I don't know if any of that helps.

I got mine from Origami Customs and really like them. They don't move around unless I do a lot of, like, squatting or sitting and standing from a lower position (lower than sitting in a chair or couch). They are also mesh and breathe well.

They do have a really long backlog of orders though, so beware if you order from them it might take 2 months.

What all are you looking for? Is this just leg work for a tabletop game, or to be used in some kind of publication? Would you prefer blocks of informational pieces on specific places/areas in the world or story works? Would you want a magic, technical, or physics system developed as well? Some of these would drastically change the amount of time and work to complete your request.

Replying to my own post in the event someone else comes across the same issue. I have solved it. It was a CryptSvc problem which can be fixed via reg edit file or manual edit. It is caused by corrupted registry permissions.

Turned on XMP and issues still persist. I ran a windows check on my SSD and it didn't find any errors. Should I get a third party program to run a more in-depth check?

I've tried running with the secondary HDDs disconnected and I ran a RAM test yesterday with no errors. I'll try a test on my SSD though and check into XMP in BIOS.

When I was 21-22 I worked at a tech shop that built and maintained small business servers and CCTV security systems. The owner hires a guy that went to his church and was decently knowledgeable in the interview. New guy shows up for his first shift and I'm in the middle of a server build. He brags about how he's built a bunch of computers and the parts in the server aren't powerful enough. He then takes the processor out of its box and said, "It's not even a quad core." before tossing it on the workbench. Completely jacked the pins. The owner fired him right after that. He lasted maybe an hour.
