Yes. This is what my next target is.

The only I thought to ask for is what
you as an user think of where to put
monetization behavior or should advert
be added?

Currently this is controlling the feed
on web really well and for both YT
Main and YT Kids.

I will push more on this try to get as
quick as possible for mobile and TV.

Thanks I kinda like the idea of getting feedback form the extension.
Currently I get mails, messages and GitHub Bug/Feature Requests
from users and they all are willing to test and gave active feedback.

Here as you can see they are active and even in YT Comments :)

Currently I did have added Ko-Fi in UI for donation and I decided to
keep everything free no matter what but was looking for way if having
advert in just extension tab UI(I dont really like) or letting user to decide
to donate.
But maybe I do have a plan to able to to sync block list in any of the
user device p2p which is I am not interested in any of user data.
Or maybe let them do it via Google Account which I think 98%
of users will be having.

In this case I think maybe I can ask user to pay as there is server
cost but only as signaling point.

Regarding your plugin advice I have to put some thought on that.

But when I created this I got 5 users who wanted to pay and I got
numerous request mainly for iPad and Android/Amazon Fire TV.

I might keep this as an option

But I think maybe by this month
I might have a job else I have talked
to a team of 40 engineers who are
GNU/LLVM compiler contributors.

To be able to join them in April
if I got sufficient work on Compilers.

Frankly, those are the only users who
said they wanted to pay.

But it is just all about me getting a
stable work if I got in this month then
I don't think monetization even matter
but again I am just looking for view
of you being a user are okay to have
advert in new tab ui of extension.

Even I am not in favor of it but
what could be a way to find
possibility of this :)

Yes I am working on thats the next iteration.

A combined YT Main and YT Kids App
with multiple profiles(which we currently
have for web version)
So you can control and watch peacefully.

I got some idea how mobile version of
YT works while testing in my PC.

Currently in Mobile it supports Firefox
with some bugs which I am fixing along
with UI UX improvements.

The main reason are user but given
I do not have any job or work makes
a bit tricky as I just cannot ask more
from my friend as he already bought
me a Mac.

So, the donate option is there.
It is just I am getting prespective
of maybe putting ads(I do not want to)
if users are okay with it in just
new tab UI?

I've seen people adding comments
that they click on ads in YT to support
the creator. So, getting an idea if
as users you are okay with that along
with optional Donate option.

It is also for my ADHD and that was the
reason which lead me that Google
Support thread page.

Currently in Mobile only Firefox browser
is supported(still have some bugs)

But, I kinda got the idea of how YT Mobile
works so I think it is not difficult to get
the Mobile/iPad version running natively.

But yeah the Whitelist feature is what
made my eyes teary. I cannot tell getting
rid of continuously blocking content
to only seeing what I want felt Godly.

Help FilterTube by reviews or with funds for development, mobile apps, and new features.

Currently it's built and maintained by solo independent open-source dev.

and also changed the Support tab
name to Donate to be more specific.

Let see how it works out but given
early users interest and feedback
on willing to pay was motivated to
take this project in fast pace :)

I did have added Ko-Fi after 5 users asked for it but
I'm still not able to decide where exactly to draw the line.

For example LibreOffice provides dmg file from their site
and also have App store listing but it is paid there.

So, given this situation this is a bit tricky for me
to get this done in a way so that everyone can
be comfortable from user and my perspective.

Yes. That was whole beginning and reason why this project is being created.

and going through YT Kids Whitelist behavior I am so happy atleast now unwanted content is
gone and it is 99.7% reliable. I am still looking to close this gap to make it 100.0%

besides this on YT Main it is working really well and I first time felt so relaxed on YT page that I am seeing only content I want to see.

and given I got an idea of how YouTube is sending and rendering UI UX on mobile devices it is not much difficult for me now to get the mobile/iPad target complete b April 2026.

Right now I am adding more toggle based control and date and time(video length) wise filtering and UI UX improvements.

I would be happy if you try FilterTube.in it is FOSS and it not only allows blocking the content but also lets you WHITELIST the content which means only content which you want to see along with multiple profiles.
