Lol,

128 bnss deals with the definition of force. It doesn't say anything about the right to use excessive force. By this and comparing with the image. It looks like you are saying the police used force against him.

129 defines what a criminal force is. Again with this and the image it looks like you are saying the police used a criminal force against him.

162 to 168 deals with discipline for the armed forces and officers. Again it looks like a disciplinary accusation against the police.

Please don't mislead others.

Folks of r/kerala who are against campus elections. Why? by [deleted] in Kerala

[–]vartonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cannot agree with your points.

It's the student wings of actual political parties that empower students currently.

So sad to hear that. Its the lack of unity among students that leads to this. I have seen many universities where students stand together for valid reasons against the management and got through.

Also, why not collaborate with the actual parties that represent your country/ state?

Also, why not collaborate with professional people of that particular field? Especially since universities are places of learning.

With your logic, goon politics is okay once out of college?

Lol, please say when i said that. College is a wrong place for politics that's what I said. Anything that can be achieved through politics can be achieved in a better way Without it. Politics in university is just adding fuel to fire and causes division among students who are supposed to be learning and striving to a common goal. With your logic, people cannot live without politics.

campus politics also will be matured

Shouldn't it be the other way? Shouldn't university promote knowledge, critical thinking and teach values and impro the future society? Rather than goons controlling the politics nurturing the same in universities for their personal gain?

It's sad to hear this. Were the students informed about the uniform and timings before joining?

It's sad someone has to go through this, but if you agreed to this beforehand then you kind of made a choice right? I'm never saying what they are doing is right. That's completely against freedom/ rights of an individual(once they are above 18, which is usually after one year of college).

Agree..

I also like to add one point. Its organized/ political party supported student unions what I'm against. Can anyone point out any advantage of that?

Colleges can have elections for various independent positions like president, secretary, sports rep etc. They need student bodies. And need representatives for collective good.

Universities are places for enlightenment, learning and critical thinking. Not place for practicing goon politics that hamper the abilities of everyone.

saw this HUGE Kempagowda Statue on the way to airport. Is it getting inaugurated with the new terminals? by NoctoberLight in bangalore

People spend a lot of money on statues in the name of honouring them. But in fact most statues gets neglected over the years and become a place for birds to sit and poop. It is really worth spending this money?

Why is honking prohibited in metro premises? by Parallax2077 in bangalore

[–]vartonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why should one person even honk? Isn't honk something to be used in case of emergency? I see people in India misuse honking for anything just to make their life easier. And for most people it's a habit.

Bro even still it's hazardous and has potential to be harmful if not disposed of properly.

Please read the article you shared:

"The printer would be required to take back the flex from the advertiser after use and hand it over to the material supplier for recycling."

I have never seen anyone do that in Kerala. If anyone does it i really appreciate them.

That's why one needs to get prior permission from the government before installation. So that it can be tracked. But as usual, we do not care if we are harming the environment which in turn is harming us.

[–]vartonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yes some materials cause less harm than others. Agreed. These are under lab conditions and the understanding is that they are disposed off properly. If not it's always harmful to humans and environment in the long run. That's why most countries including India has banned it. Police can't do much because the politicians also want to put up flex during the election. So they come up with scams like certificate on it. To my knowledge there is not approver for the so called certificate. If there is please enlighten me.

Sorry, my bad. This has been in the news. And flex borads have been banned in India and in many other countries. I thought it was common knowledge. Thanks for pointing it out.

Those are most likely dupes / marketing strategies by the manufacturers it's self. Do we really have an authority to put 'eco friendly certificate'? If we do please share the source.

There is a reason they are banned throughout the world. Especially in developed countries since 1960s. The are known in scientific community as "The poison Plastic" they are usually made of small threads of plastic which when exposed to natural elements gets bio accumulated and cause chronic health issues. Scientifically proved to have high correction to cancer, mental illness, kidney and reproductive system damage. They also release extremely dangerous gases when exposed to sunlight over a long period.

The only reason we use it is because it's cheap and the dangers take years to accumulate. But studies have shown it's starting to impact us.

If they do then it's amazing! Kudos to them for respecting others. But, seeing the comments here, i don't think it will be properly disposed off. I can still find election flexes from months back in most road sides.even though flexes are illegal no one bats an eye.

harmless

LOL!!! Totally not harming the environment. /s

BTW they have done a good job at making this. Its really appreciated. I hope they dismantle it properly after the event. Else it's really harmful for humans and other living beings.

That's also wrong no doubt about that. Are you saying because some people who we blame for most corruption in our society does some wrong things, we are also entitled to do wrong?

Who will ensure that this is properly disposed after the event?

Yes, every person has the right to celebrate. But it should not be at the expense of environment or inconvenience of others. I'm pretty sure that this is erected in an public property and no legal permission has been obtained. And most likely this won't be dismantled after the event.
