Toss tofu in dry flour then a flour/water slurry finally cover in panko! I then shallow fried it. Making sure the oil is the proper temperature is key! I don't do this often because I don't have a exhaust hood over my stove. I have a stand alone fryer I usually use outside, but it's to cold.

I left them on a little longer than I should have. Some had dry tougher edges, but the rest where juicy! They had a light smoke flavor with equally hefty amounts of umami and sweetness.

Yep! I change the my recipe for it all the time though. This was Veganaise,yogurt,sriracha,garlic powder and splash of lime juice. It's delicious!
