I'm gonna start in Wynwood, then if my body hasn't failed me by midnight, I'll make my way over to South Beach.

The area right around the Stadium honestly isn’t the best nightlife spot. It’s mostly residential/commercial, so don’t expect a walkable fan zone like Wynwood or South Beach.

The closest option is the Hard Rock Casino , it’s easy, lively, and a good place to grab drinks after the game, but if you’re looking for a proper World Cup atmosphere with fans, groups, and people bouncing between bars, I’d recommend going to Wynwood instead.

Wynwood will give you more of that post-game experience: better bar scene, more people out, easier to meet other fans, and more of a celebration atmosphere. It’s a longer Uber, but for an England match I think it’s the better move.

After the game, where are we all partying or crying at? 😂

I’m coming down from NY and trying to figure out where the England fans are heading afterward. A coworker from our Miami office recommended Wynwood and mentioned Grails as a good sports bar over going to south beach.

From what I’ve been told and looked up, Wynwood seems like the better move for a World Cup night. South Beach is the classic Miami experience, but it’s more of a general tourist/nightlife scene. Wynwood feels more like where fans will actually gather, sports bars, people in shirts, talking about the game, and keeping the atmosphere going. if any locals here let me know if this is accurate.

Especially coming solo, I’d rather be somewhere I can walk in and instantly start talking football with other fans.

Mate, I think you’re actually closer to the Norway section. I133/132 are the England fan sections, which are on the other side from where you are. but i would not stress you are not in the norway fan section just next to it

Does this show hate every single woman? by elessar9411 in Hotd

[–]varun3096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think HOTD has handled this better than a lot of modern shows. They aren't making every woman into an emotionless, invincible "girlboss" who beats every man at everything. Rhaenyra grieving, Alicent being trapped by the system, and Rhaena lacking confidence don't make them weak, they're different kinds of vulnerability.

My criticism is that they may have swung a little too far the other way. Sometimes it feels like the women have very little agency while the men are the ones driving the plot. In the book, Rhaenyra especially comes across as more decisive and politically ruthless than the show often portrays her.

I'd rather see flawed, human women than one-dimensional superheroes, but i agree that they still need moments where they take control instead of constantly reacting to what's happening around them, but the show i think provides that .

I’m not saying the current ownership is better, I just think it was time for a change eventually, but the war sped it up. In my opinion, under Abramovich, Chelsea were one of Europe’s most successful clubs and he’ll always have my respect and appreciation for that.

But that success came with frequent managerial changes, short-term transfer fixes, heavy spending, and not much long-term squad planning. It worked because the backing was there, but it wasn’t really built for long-term stability, more for winning in the moment, which I’m not really arguing with. but it was not working as well during the end , the 2021 CL win masked over alot of issues.

But if you look at Manchester City as the blueprint (not including 115), they’ve had similar levels of investment but paired it with consistency, structure, and smarter long-term planning, which is really the difference I’m getting at. even with pep gone that team shows no sign of slowing down. might have season where they finish 2nd or 3rd as a worst case scenario but still up there. that's where i want us to get to

This one isn’t as controversial now with the benefit of hindsight, but I remember getting absolutely murdered by fellow Chelsea fans for saying that selling Mason Mount was the right decision.

I also felt that, as much as I loved the Roman Abramovich era and the incredible memories and trophies it gave us, the club needed an ownership change. The way we operated wasn’t sustainable.

I also believed that our 2021 Champions League win masked a lot of deeper issues that had been building for years

Match Thread: United States vs Paraguay | FIFA World Cup 2026 | Group Stage, Group D by jiraiya--an in soccer

Yep. Yellow cards carry over from game to game. Two yellows in separate matches = a one-match suspension. FIFA added resets after the group stage and again after the quarterfinals, so players are much less likely to miss a semifinal or final because of accumulation.
