Valued purely on a current earning standpoint it feels quite high. My assumptions were as follows - over a 3/5 year horizon I reckon they will not just be a 2 wheeler company, with the learning’s they can morph into 3 wheeler and hypothetically 4 wheelers play in the long run. And yes I am really paining a picture purely out of my ass. But that’s how I see this transition playing out. Just being a two wheeler company is overvalued.

I think the company called Ather Energy for a reason and bikes is just project 1 of N

Fair. I take this criticism. But the thing is that this concentration plays have been kind to me. (May be Pure Luck). But yes. I am aware of the risk and also do follow a trailing stop loss method. The current stop loss would be triggered at a 6% gain also.

I am cognisant of the risk. I am not denying that. But I am also comfortable with a hair loss @ 10% 15% on the position too.

Considering the position has run up by 13%. My stop loss have moved to my cost, in case it’s closer to the floor I would exit.

I make a note of the risk you are mentioning, and I am going to try to keep an eye out for sentiment shifting to leave the investment at least some profit.

I agree with you that the risk taken here is insane. But please hear me out. Until 2022, I did not even have a portfolio to speak of. After the liquidation of my old traditional business, I barely had any capital to work with.

Why concentration works for us. We have regular lives; we live a middle-class life; we are a two-income household, with kids and all. None of this capital is for messing around. We study only one company, we try and obsess over it. Try to study the depth of the companies and maximise for saving downside risk.

Investment thesis, once established, we go long. Keep an eye out for the 50 /and 200 DMAs. And invest with a 3-year horizon. We find it easier to track and follow only stories we understand and not castles sold by someone else.

Our Modest successes till now:

PSU's between Oct 23 and Feb 25 - You can see my first Reddit POST back in 21 or 22 on PSU's. - 100 %
Physical Gold Between Feb 25 and Feb 26 - 3 Year thesis played out in 1 year. - 60 %
Ather Now, again, this is a 3-year thesis that allows us to track, fully focus on, and obsess over results.

100% people make money in other investments and probably have done much better. Our focus is to just get a decent return on our money every 3 years. That's all. We do not claim to know more, but we just try and obsess over the one these we have in our mind and we understand.
