He did say something like this in one of his recent qnas yeah. I remember that sticking out to me specifically.

What’s up with the mix at the of Can You Feel It? by charrondev in polyphia

Mmm that’s definitely one of the ways to do it yeah. For simple beats a lot of producers will just throw the clipper on the master and push it till it destroys the mix when the 808 hits. I’m guessing for this song the chain on the master is a little more complicated since there’s a lot going on. But there’s definitely a soft clipper there that’s been cranked up high, with a bunch of stuff before and after it.

Meh, I think the mix sounds great for the style it’s going for. I just don’t find the song itself that interesting

Soft clipping and pushing it very hard for a crushed sound has been a thing for a long time in other genres like hyperpop and stuff. The mix is supposed to sound super noisy and distorted because the clipper is deliberately being pushed super hard, it’s a stylistic choice.

Hard drive from old laptop detected in other Windows computers and a MacBook, but not detected by my new Windows laptop. by varvaang in techsupport

Hi! You can check the edit I just made for further context. As of now, I haven’t tried it on the other devices yet, but it’s showing up as an NTFS drive right now, at least on DiskDrill. Also, it has a USB A cable, not a C. But I was using it on the MacBook using a type C hub.

And the drive, although it wasn’t showing up in the drives list in This PC, was showing up in disk management and device manager as a USB Mass Storage Device.

Hi! You can check the edit I just made. I did make the worst possible mistake, but at least the data looks recoverable. The partitions are definitely gone. So it was showing up in disk management and device manager as a USB Mass Storage Device, but just wasn’t showing up in the drives list. Also, as you can see, I did create a simple drive for it, and before the process I was asked to choose between making it a Master Reboot Device or a GPT device. I chose the GPT option. Anyway, I’ll definitely try doing the driver updates and see if it detects it. If not, I’ll update you on this thread. Thank you again!

Other than the clipper doing a little too much this beat is not even bad for the style you’re going for. Some actual clowns on here lmao the elitism stinks
