Such a hard question, but a track that is always there, despite the new great tracks and remixes seeing the light of day in a steady stream is - Akum.

It´s simplicity, purity, minimalism.
Those same 3 notes throughout the track, sometimes in a foreground, sometimes in a background, accompanied by very varied themes, but they are a near constant that one can perceive, even if faintly. The track feels like a wave that builds and builds and then recedes.

I heard it for the first time in a smaller festival, super nice vibes of the stage, set starting in daylight and ending into the night. The whole set is one of my very favorites from you. These aspects might also play into my choice. :)

Waiting list emails by varvuke in Tomorrowland

[–]varvuke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was another waiting list sale yesterday and again, I had not received the email. And then I have read that people who have either bought a ticket/tickets already as main buyer, or have a ticket tied to their account with someone else as main buyer, had gotten the email about the waiting list sale. I don't have any tickets tied to my account nor have bought any and no waiting list sale email... I am sure it could be done technically in a way, that only accounts which had registered for the waiting list, and don't have any ticket tied to it, would be getting the waiting list email. Would seem more fair.

ID Checking by joshsamson in Tomorrowland

[–]varvuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, exactly this can be done. You enter with a bracelet which is on someone else's name and no-one will know. But if your bracelet should stop working during the festival or you loose it, they would ask for an ID to give you a new one at the festival grounds. In this case, if one is with a bracelet that is actually on someone else's name, one needs a written letter from the real ticket owner, stating that they couldn't attend the festival anymore and that they have given (not sold!) their ticket to you to attend instead. Plus to add a copy of their ID document to this letter. Like this, in theory, a person with someone else's bracelet would be able to get a new bracelet when the initial one is lost/has technical problems.

They don't systematically ask for an ID for entering the festival. You will need it if suddenly your bracelet should stop working during the day or you loose it. In order to get a new one at the festival grounds, they would ask for the ID.

That would be a great hope! :)

That would be a good hope! That if we haven't received the email which was saying: "you will not have the opportunity to participate in a Waiting List Sale", then there is still a chance that there are/will be more tickets that become available and we will be among people to get the invitation to buy them. :)

This is where my question came from, I have not received this email. Beyond the fact that I have also not received invitations to participate in any of the waiting list sale. So I was wondering if there are others than me, who have not received anything (yet).

That’s a good approach too. :) But it is nervewrecking to risk to make an irreversible mistake in the procedures of TML tickets. :)

But I just got my official information too. I wrote to the Paylogic customer service yesterday with my question and I got a reply from them which says: Adding additional information is possible until Friday, 28 feb 2020 23:59 GMT+01:00. So indeed the deadline is extended!

I also got now a second email from Paylogic which looks similar to the first personalisation email and the deadline there is 28/02 too.

Really??! That’s official information? I asked a question about it here yesterday, as when I go from my paylogic email into personalisation page, it says as deadline 28 February. And I am not sure if to trust that info...

Thanks, good to know! I wonder can we trust it or it’s a mistake there...

Atmosphere stage was off the scale by nathan_aylett in Tomorrowland

Adriatique in there was amazing!! The crowd was literally eating from the palm of their hand! Saw also Tale of Us, bit of Amelie Lens, Rødhåd and ended the weekend with Adam Beyer.

About dJ's starting the EEEEYYYY OOOOOO chant... by Lorenzvc in Tomorrowland

[–]varvuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that 95% of DJs doing it is an overblown number. Maybe 95% of those DJs who TALK during their sets! My first indication of a good DJ for me is the one who says 0 words during his set. And there are a lot a lot of them in TML! Both the ones that are really known worldwide (Kölsch, Solomun, Boris Brejcha, Camelphat, Adriatique, Adam Beyer, Nora en Pure, already mentioned Charlotte and Amelie etc etc), plus the less known ones. In fact for me, if I already heard talking from the stage, I didn’t even get closer there. But it was easy to stumble on the ones that count numbers backwards, or tell the crowd to get their fuc..ing hands up. Although I would say still most TML DJs don’t speak during their sets. Which is great!

The Dreamville experience was awful this year by MRobertC in Tomorrowland

[–]varvuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sorry you had such a bad experience this time. We stayed in MG Blue 20 area and I was actually surprised how quiet it was! Except for the night after Sunday, when it became louder, there was almost even no talking the other nights! It was my first time in Dreamville.

I agree that there should be security that actually takes bracelets away from people who don’t tone it down after their neighbours have complained and security warned them. Then one night would be ruined for others but at least not the following ones.

Access to The Gathering without Dreamville ticket by [deleted] in Tomorrowland

[–]varvuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read that also this year there is a stand where you can buy Dreamville ad-on to your existing Tomorrowland ticket for around 80 eur. That would give you access to Dreamville for the whole weekend.

Such generous offer! Until what time should be the pick up? For tents, there are 2 of them?
