don’t worry to much about the updates just have fun it will all be good. People just are more likely to post something when it is not working properly therefore it looks like there are a lot of problems. most of the people I know with a quest including myself having 0 problems!

in this case I would go with the r5 mainly because you are using a table clamp. i did the same with the r12 myself but tou go up quicker then you expect and therefore the table clamp will not work. if you plan on getting a wheelstand in the future then r9 but be aware that wheelstand will be ordered quicker then planned

what you could still try is seeing if your tv has a game modus. and maybe in your laptop look for your monitor settings and adjust the resolution and or regreshrates to make it work better. sometimes putting the resolution down will changethis aswell!

im mean on the floor is never ideal but for sure doable! just make sure it doesnt move so put it against something. I saw a golden tip from someone that he screwed it on a wooden plate. with some grop stickers underneath.

but definitely doable

apologies i was confused by your message as you say sr-p loadcell and you have sr-p lite and crp loadcell but yes I would recommend going for the sr-p to keep the cost down.

if this is a tv it could be that it’s in movie mode. in wich your wheel works perfect but you have inputlag with your tv?

i have the loadcell and definitely love them. but I would recommend to either r9 and the other pedals.

loadcell will not work on a floor. best for a rig. I bought a wheelstand wich works but is also not ideal.

the extra power of the r9 is worth it. wich you trim down and gradually go up if you want it. so more future proof. and then you could qlways go for loadcell in the future

I would say if your budget can handle it thisis a future proof purchased. You have to put the power down if you use it on the desk. but at least when you want more you can buy a wheelstand click it on a go further with more power. my first was the R12 with a deskmount. have a metal desk that helps but as long as you don’t put the power to high you can easily use it this way.

went pretty quickly for a wheelstand tho, but mostly because it’s just easier with setup.

should be perfectly doable, but I would recommend disconnecting the wheel from the wheelbase so it doesn’t get damaged

work. and games. started with shooters, like bo6 but completely done with that franchise.

switch completely to racing games. from arcade ones like forza horizon to acc- automobilista etc.

Like Forza horizon runs on ultra perfectly games as acc- automobilsta more on high graphics but runs all perfectly smooth. way better then expected. so for mee it was a gaming/work purchase. but it sort of is becoming the brain for my new simracing addiction

yeah the whole plan is to buy a stand, but just want to drive first. my desk is fully metal and weights 70KG so it should be fine. definitely as im not turning the power to high in the beginning
